If you check in after the lobby bar opens at 5, it is so loud you cannot hear. The room ac set to 60 but not cold at all. Parking is in a parking garage. That should be explained before you make your reservation.

The furniture is old and out dated plus you have to pay a $250 security deposit at check in. The food was not good. The pool area is not as advertised.

I was provided a room on the 12th floor which the the bathroom was deplorable. Tub backed up while showering it appeared dirty with a 3 inch black ring aroung the entire tube. My room was changed to the 5th floor. The room permeated with the smell of cigerette smoke. I again visited the front desk and to report that I refuse to be charged for this room. Also my niece got stuck in the bathroom. We were switched to the 10th floor. The toilet backed up; however maint came to the rm.

They entered our rooms without our permission with our do not disturb sign was on (and didn’t clean the room) and when we confronted the front desk they said it was us only who entered the room after they did their audit. Mind you, we had been gone ALL DAY LONG FROM 9 AM to 5 PM. We placed a washcloth behind the door when we realized that people were entering our room and opened it just enough to squeeze through and the wash cloth was pushed up against the wall. That’s how we KNEW someone was in our room. Also they went in and changed our thermostat to heat instead of cold and had it locked at 65* after we confronted them on our last night. And for a hotel who is a “resort” the breakfast was AWFUL and subpar for the location it’s in.

We LOVE LaQuinta, we enjoy staying at these hotels! This particular one was walkable distance to the French Quarter and all attractions esp for Mardi Gras, which was great! Unfortunately, would NOT recommend this one. They don’t clean the rooms daily or at all unless you book 24hrs in advance. There was a poop stain on the sheet, we had to get new sheets. The toilet didn’t flush well at all. The tub was stained, looked dirty. We had to ask for more towels, toiletries- soap, toilet paper. The carpet was filthy, stained. There was only one working elevator. The “free” breakfast was 6-9 only, and the food was exactly the same daily. Cold, greasy food. Sausage, fake round eggs, bagels, only strawberry/banana yogurt, waffles. ONE toaster with 2 slots, but one side didn’t work. Lots of hidden fees, well over the price we paid prior with Expedia. Disappointed, would not recommend.
