The hotel is an incredibly well preserved house from the 1830s well situated in the French Quarter within walking distance of many of the cities attractions. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the suites and it did not feel like we were in a hotel at all. The suites do face the road, so be prepared for normal city noises, but the ambiance is well worth a little traffic.
The place is great. Rooms have a great view, and we will stay there again. The only problem is if you have a person who cannot go up stairs. Mu mother had a hard time going ul and down the stairs specially with luggage. Just be aware of that. Beside this, it was a great experience.
It was fun place, but our room across street didn't have any windows except super high above the door, so felt a little weird. Gorgeous inside and nicely renovated bathroom and comfy bed. Parking was ok lot with gate.
The website on Hotel.com said it had breakfast but it did not. Pool was warm but we didn't go in.
Wonderful hotel! The staff is so nice the rooms are very clean and the courtyard around the pool is quiet. I do wish they did not heat the pool so much however. It's hot enough in New Orleans and when you come out of jazz fest it would be nice to dive into a coolish pool. The hot water spa spills over into the pool so it's quite warm and not refreshing. I suppose it might be soothing in the winter but New Orleans in early May is more like the summer everywhere else.
I have stayed at this property now, three times and all times and different rooms. And love the atmosphere there. Everything was good and clean and staff was friendly.
Absolutely perfect hotel.
So clean and comfortable. Beautiful space very well maintained. Classic old New Orleans feel.
The bed was super comfortable. The room felt very private and the climate control was perfect.
This hotel seems to be in a great location very walkable to everything in the Quarter, yet still easy to navigate via Uber.
Very nice pool. Comfortable temperature, clean, with a very nice hot tub.
This was my second time staying here and I absolutely love it. It’s in the middle of everything easy to walk to all areas. The staff are so warm and welcoming. I love the charm in history of the house. I would definitely recommend a stay here
3rd time here. Only minus is they decided to remove refrigerators from rooms except suites. A bizarre decision. Best part,no kids. Relaxing oasis.

Perfect for our stay
While Lamothe House is a bit of a faded beauty, what she lacks in polish she more than makes up for with her character, accommodating staff, excellent location and lovely pool area. Our room faced the street and was rather noisy at night but many rooms are tucked inside and should be very quiet. Thanks especially to Gary and Carol who made us feel welcome and cared for. I would absolutely stay there again.

I was not aware at time of booking that my room would be in a separate building in the back with no sunlight except for window open to gangway. There was considerable overhead noise - I did not feel safe walking to room at night
Otherwise it was very pleasant - with some additional landscaping the pool would be very lovely - the entry to my room also was very worn and needs an update - would be nice to have some other amenities in lobby like continental breakfast - Also room definitely needs hooks for towels and additional hooks for wet swim suits, etc.
It's a great location in a historic building right outside the French Quarter, a block from Frenchman Street. We've stayed here twice and will stay here again.
The location was close to Bourbon St., the hotel was authentic in the New Orleans style but the window by the bathtub needs major renovation as the glass panes
need to be covered up and the frame replaced.
The room was spacious. It had an air conditioner and a charming old fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed it. I think the pool was our favorite part of the trip!
