A charming ancient hotel that is well taken care off with a friendly and helpful staff. Its close proximity to the French Market is an additional plus. Overall, a great place!

I booked through Expedia/travelocity for a deluxe double room for more room. When I arrived to the hotel to check in, they gave me a single room. I went to have this corrected only to be switched to a standard double. Online this type of room was significantly cheaper than the one I paid for. The clerk working front office blamed the mistake on Expedia and said he would only switch my room if I paid even more money. When I contacted travelocity about this discrepancy, they blamed it on the hotel, of whom is still stating I received the correct room. I will not be booking this hotel directly or indirectly through a third party ever again!!!! No matter what you pay, they give you whatever type room they feel like! Don’t waste your money!!

Hotel was in a great location so we were excited about our stay. The parking fee was reasonable. Upon arriving i was put in a room that didnt accomdate my whole family. Was forced to pay an upgrade fee, even though I called them and they specifically told me my room would sleep 5. The new room had a couch but it wasnt big enough for my son and to get a cot it would have been an additional fee again. Continental breakfast is a joke. All it was was gas station muffins and old coffee. I chose a room with a breakfast so it was one meal i wouldn't have to worry about and that is all it was. Very disappointing. I was charged double for my first night and after speaking with 5 different people nobody has been able to resolve the issue and tell me exactly what it is that they can do to fix it. Staff is poorly trained at computer system and were unable to answer the simplest questions. My 3 night stay that was quoted at 408 plus taxes and fees turned into 792! Almost twice as much. I will never again stay at this hotel and i will advise anyone considering it to go somewhere else.

Although we reserved our room over 3 months in advance, we were still placed in a third-floor room because all other rooms had been booked. (In fact, booking.com had deceived people by overbooking this hotel's rooms - but that's a different story.) The building is quite old, so there's no elevator. We had to wrestle our luggage up two flights of very long stairs (the ceilings on the lower floors are quite high). There's only a single light in the bathroom over the sink, but NO illumination for the shower - we had to shower in near darkness. The hot water wasn't available unless hotel staff had been notified so that they could prime the water pumps. The walls are paper-thin, and someone's TV on the second floor was blasting all night. The continental breakfast was quite generous, however.

Good location. Hotel very clean. Only problem senior citizen should book room in first floor. No elevator.

It was our first time to New Orleans and the staff could not have been kinder and more informative. We had a beautiful room with doors to outdoor terrace. We did not take advantage of the pool, but the pool area and courtyard were lovely as well. We were able to walk everywhere in the French Quarter from this location. I would recommend this hotel and plan to return here someday.

New Orleans vacation

Pros: The staff was class A+ helped with everything places to see places to eat did whatever they could do to help make your stay perfect....
Cons: we were street level with our room so you had carsand people going by your window all night I felt safe but loud loud
Location: EVERYTHING was within walking distance
this hotel was our second hotel the first one fell through we choice this one it was PERFECT in every way. we were 6 blocks from all fun life. close enough to walk to and far enough away you could get away from all the celebrations. you could walk to many of the parades and activities nice safe area right by Armstrong Park, the trolley stop a few blocks away GREAT location
