I hope they are not still doing this but when we were there in Oct 2025 they had started some inexplicable $30/day charge for (?). They tell you after you arrive. It was I believe designed to be confusing and solely a sly way to raise the rates. Something like it got you $15 off one breakfast and $30 off another meal in their house restaurants. But we were there 3 nights and the charge was for all 3 nights. They should just roll their price increase into their published rates. Overall the Westin New Orleans is a great hotel but it reminded me of some pricing tricks things I ran into decades ago.

The room was great I didn’t like that the price I originally seen on the app was different when I checked in and the morning of departure they charge me another &139 that’s crazy what if I spent all my money there and didn’t have it to pay and now I’m seeing everything double on my account so I’m given it time to see what gets adjusted
