Parking excellent, staff very friendly, gluten free meal options available, Staff pointed out the gluten free options at breakfast which was buffet style, all options had separate serving utensils I was concerned about possible cross contamination with gluten free and gluten options ie utensils swapped around etc however the GF bread was in a closed container. For peace of mind I would have been much happier to select my food options and preferred my breakfast to be plated up direct from the kitchen area. Evening meal and breakfast both delicious.

Excellent location and lovely staff. Great breakfast and exceptional value. Delighted with parking facilities and general ambience. Only negative was the evening meal which was very disappointing but will definitely return.

Could not fault our stay at all. The room was absolutely immaculate, clean and also lots of room. We only stayed over one night but it was brilliant. Very comfortable mattress/pillows, clean bathroom and good facilities in the room, specially the kettle! The staff are very friendly and helpful and shoutout to George, one of the cleaners, who was extremely polite and bubbly and he recommended a few things going on in Newcastle! He let us know that if we needed any extra towels or tea bags etc, he'd provide this. Overall, we had a lovely stay and we will definitely be back. Really good value for money and it's also so close to the train station/city centre etc

We always stay here when we come to Newcastle wouldn’t go anywhere else! It has everything we need for a relaxing stay. As soon as you walk in you feel at home. A warm welcome from reception. The restaurant food is lovely & a good sized person bar staff are helpful & friendly. The room is huge with a lovely water view spotless & everything you could want. Breakfast is plentiful & tasty. Very convenient & a nice short walk into town. Already booked for next year!

Really nice view and hotel centrally located. Car parking very easy. However, there isn't any air conditioning (fan provided) and only tiny vents to open so really quite hot in the summer. Staff very friendly. Only one lift working which needs sorting out ASAP.

It was a good stay, although the bathroom needed some refreshing and repair, also the coffee supplies were not wnough for 2 people. The staff were lovely.

Copthorne hotel

Love this hotel. Never had any issues before . This time had to report shower as water temp didnt work. Water was scalding and didnt turn down. Reported to reception who thanked me for bringing to their attention. Lovely clean and confortable rooms. Always sleep well. Staff are wonderful always smiling and helpful.

Loved it!

We booked the Copthorne Hotel as we had tickets to see Peter Kay at the Utilita Arena. We decided to turn it into a mini break staying at the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel was only a short walk from the arena and we also walked from the train station, again only a short walk. We had a lovely view of the River Tyne and two swivel chairs positioned in front of the window. It was such a good view that we spent each evening sitting in front of that window with a drink. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfy and reasonably clean, with a small fridge that you could stock yourself. There were tea/coffee making bits. We had a meal on the Saturday night at the hotel which was nice and I left my husband at the bar to enjoy the football. The room also had a hair dryer, fan, ironing board and iron. The water pressure was great so the shower was amazing. I would go back to this Hotel if I ever visit Newcastle again. It was just the perfect spot to walk to most destinations that we needed to get to and the room was a great space to relax in. Also if you are a runner take your running gear as it is a great place to enjoy a run along the river.
