I have stayed in a lot of hotels, travelling with work, including in Newcastle. This is by far one of the best I have ever stayed in! The staff are warm, welcoming, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The hotel is beautiful, it has all you need in the way of modern convenience, while retaining many of his its heritage features. The balance is just right. My room was, cosy, beautifully decorated, with high quality furnishings, bed linen and fluffy towels. The bed was super comfy, the blackout curtains ensuring a perfect sleep. The bathroom was perfect, with a good sized bath, brilliant power shower, that actually kept its temperature. The toiletries which were from the White Company, they smelt devine! My room overall had everything you need from an iron and board to hairdryer, plenty of storage space and a TV with a good variety of channels. Worthy of note for the entire hotel, but especially for my room, it is immaculate. There was not a spec of dust anywhere, the carpets actually vacuumed and free from hair! I have stayed in hotels in a much higher price bracket and have not been able to say the same. This is a fantastic hotel, I was pleased to tell the staff, they deserved to be told, how exemplary it is. Give it a try - you will love it just as much I’m sure!
