Welcome to Howland House, a historic Inn located on Spring St. This is a 5
bed, 5 bath inn with four individual units located in it. Three of the units
have pull out sofas as well as a daybed. This dog friendly space comes
equipped with one full kitchen, parking for 2, and 4 passes for on street
parking. Each unit also has ensuite bathrooms, microwaves, mini fridges,
coffee stations, ample closet space, an outdoor patio, and was recently
upgraded with mini splits. More info in "Notes" section.
Howland House is a four unit, classic historic Newport property. Built in 1750
it predates the Revolution and is one of Newport's oldest homes. While it
holds all of the charm of old New England, through renovations and updates, it
can comfortably accommodate larger parties allowing everyone privacy within
their own units. Three of the four units are suites, while one is a townhouse
style apartment. There is one full kitchen located in that unit. All of the
other units have their own microwaves, coffee stations, mini fridges, plenty
of closet space, and mini splits. There are two on site parking spots, and
four passes which allow for on street parking.
All of Windwards properties are professionally cleaned between guests and come
outfitted in high end linens and towels.
Aside from the cleanliness of the space, it is in one of the most sought after
locations in Newport. Right outside your door you can spot historic St. Maryâs
Church, and you are steps away from Thames Street, Bannisters & Bowens Wharf,
and endless restaurants, bars, and shopping.

Windward Suites properties are all keyless, and instead use keypad smart locks
for all of the doors for both the buildings and units. All guests will receive
an email the morning of their arrival with the instructions, codes to the
doors and Wifi. Super easy!
Check-in time is anytime after 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Please
be respectful of these times unless you have contacted us, as we have a
cleaning crew who need the time to do a thorough job before and after all of
our guests.
There are three on site parking spots which are on a first come first serve
basis, there is a city lot on Church St a few blocks away and we have a lot on
Oak St, by request only, which is a 5min walk away.
While we want our guests to enjoy their privacy, we are also readily available
for anything you might need, from extra towels to dinner recommendations. Just
