Place is okay for the price. Parking garages are about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The beach is about 25 -30 minutes walking. Place is was clean and staff was pleasant however they have two hotels on the same street which made it confusing as the hotel I was sent to wasn’t the same address.

There was a slight mix-up of my room at check-in, but the issue was quickly resolved by the friendly staff. Room was small as there was nearly no clearance between end of bed and wall where the TV is mounted, but room was modern and clean. Hotel located near tram 1 stop and main train station.

The air conditioning was very poor (27 degrees at night) and when we asked about a change of room, the hotel did not make any effort to fix the air conditioning or offer an alternative room. The beds were very short, too short for anyone taller than 5”9. The drainage in the shower was very poor; I had to switch the shower off halfway through to drain the water so it did not leak into the the main bedroom.

Good, well located hotel with a few small issues

Overall the stay at the Hotel Annexe was a good one. The location is excellent as it is a 5 minute walk or so to the train station, a 15-20 min walk to the beachfront and less than a 5 minute walk to ‘Liberation’ where you can get a local number 23 bus to the airport (or from the airport to there). The room itself was comfortable, as was the bed and it was clean and generally quiet with a little bit of street noise now and again. There were a few things that as regular travellers we found a little bit inconvenient - the reception is next door, which isn’t a problem at all, but you need to give a €20 deposit for the room key and in our case we asked for a kettle and had to pay another €5 deposit for that too (they asked for more). Why not ask for a deposit on a credit card like nearly every other hotel I have been to. On another day we weren’t given any shampoo so I had to go to reception to get some more. Also, for what looks like a newly refurbished room, it was strange to only have 1 plug socket (and not next to the bed). These issues wouldn’t stop us from staying there again given it was well located and well priced but we left after our 4 night stay that it could have easily been better with a few small changes.

Great hotel that was linked to one a couple of doors up the street The Monsigny. Although our reception was unmanned the one there was 24/7 and only a phone call away if you needed anything. The restaurant there was good but the Maitre de, Fred was absolutely brilliant such a nice guy.

This hotel doesn’t have a check in desk, but you check in right next door at Hotel Monsigny. Thought that should be noted. It is very close walk to waterfront, busses, and train station. The beds are really soft and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here!
