Close to the beach

This was our 1st time to South Carolina so wasn't sure what to expect. The property looks like it used to be a motel and some of the rooms were renovated to rent out. The living room and kitchen look exactly like the pictures. The property is way smaller in person, though. I'm 5'9 and my head was maybe 2 inches away from the ceiling in the bathroom. The bathroom does need some updating. The shower was stained yellow, the toilet has hard water stains and the floors needed to be redone. The rooms are really small but i liked that there were 2. The blinds has some rips and tears, and with being on the first floor, maybe darker curtains would help from anyone being able to see through. The beds were hard and slightly uncomfortable. The beach is super close and we walked to it each time. There's a water hose on the porch to use when you come back from the beach. It was a 30 minute drive from the airport but super close to restaurants, Walmart and kroger. There is a wall unit ac but the temperature was always comfortable in the unit. Towels are provided but bring your own soap, toothpaste and shampoo. Overall, we didn't necessarily have any problems with our stay but were surprised at how small it was. If you just need a place to sleep and store your luggage without any extra thrills, it's perfect.

Great stay

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this property. It is very close to the beach and the unit was very clean and close to everything. I would recommend this property for couples who want a nice clean place close to the beach and all that the area has to offer.

The proximity to the beach was the best thing about this property, otherwise, not a good experience. 1) no communication with check in instructions. Had to call Expedia from the airplane after attempts to communicate with owners via VRBO msg and text failed. Did get a door code and property/owner did call but it was difficult to communicate while trying to navigate the airport. 2) Property was dirty and in need of updates (IE: bathroom floor, shower was stained, sticky substance on the walls behind the kitchen sink, etc.) 3) Not provided any check out instructions and had to ask for these to ensure check out went as the owners needed. 4) Initially, not given the full refund of our deposit. We were told that a shelf in the refrigerator was broken. The shelf was already broken upon our arrival, and we didn't end up using the kitchen at all as we had planned due to it not being clean/no dishwasher. We only knew of the shelf because we put a water bottle on the large shelf in the main compartment of the fridge (not the door shelf that was broken/only knew as heard the broken piece rattle when opening/closing the door). 5) Called owners about refund /shelf not our issue, owners did reimburse the full amount of the deposit, but we were told this needed to be reported when we checked in. Not our first VRBO rental. This was vastly different experience. So many places to stay in this area - advise finding somewhere else.

Cabinet door in the bath from was broker, and there was o lying a hose to rinse off sand not a showe

Dehumidifier running constanly. It was very cute d.aller than in pictures. Only half a block to the ocean!! I really appreciated the keypadock on the door. Great to go to the each and not worry about losing the keys.

Excellent spot!

The place was very conveniently located across the street from a beach access point. A convenience store is located just around the corner to provide you with quick access to supplies. The place was quite clean when we arrived. The owner communicated the necessary info in a very timely fashion. The bedrooms were a little warm, given the window unit; I’d recommend bringing a portable fan. However, I would absolutely recommend this place and happily stay here again!

Sweet Unit

This unit we stayed in was so nice and clean. Perfect location, all we had to do was walk across the street and there was the BEACH! Neighbors were nice. I would definitely recommend this place to who ever is coming to Cresent Beach. Loved it.

10/10 - Fantastic Rental Experience

The property was exactly as advertised. It was stocked with everything you could imagine. The property owners called mid-week to check in on us and asked for ways they could improve in the future. The property was clean, modern, and in a great location. We booked based on the VRBO descriptions and images as they were exactly what we were looking for. However, we were even more impressed once we arrived. We could not have been happier with the rental or experience.
