Nothing was too much trouble and communication was first rate. The space was exceptionally clean, if just a little on the small side.
The shower/WC room was very small. There were just tiny details about the room that could be addressed and sorted out really easily (toilet seat needed fixing, fridge door hinges needed fixing etc).
On returning to my room on the second evening I was greeted by an awful stench emanating from the shower. Geetha got me moved very quickly without question, which I thoroughly appreciated but it did affect my stay.
Overall, this room is good value for money, even though itâs showing signs of being a little tired. But as I mentioned, these issues are easily resolved.
We booked fairly last minute for a two-night stay. The room heater was on on arrival which was a nice touch as weâd just arrived by motorcycle on a rainy evening. There is a CAMRA-registered pub opposite and a great breakfast and dirty burger restaurant within a minuteâs walk. Tesco express right round the corner. The room itself is a bit small, but has all you need for a short stay, and thereâs a nice big car park for the building, too. Despite the nightlife on the doorstep, the neighbourhood and streets are pretty quiet - there were a few loud cars and motorcycles running through the streets at night, but nothing too disruptive. The building is in good condition. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
