Recently built Villa La Palma is a beautiful, modern villa which enjoys an ideal setting on the south-east coast of Sicily. The nearest beach is around a 15-minute walk away while all along the glistening coastline you will find lovely seaside towns. 

With its whitewashed walls and landscaped garden dotted with palm trees, this villa has a true Mediterranean look. Spend your days outside in the sunshine, cooling off in the saltwater pool, sunbathing on a deckchair and firing up the barbecue before enjoying an al-fresco meal on the terrace. 

Step inside and you will find bright rooms decorated in a contemporary yet comfortable style. Glass doors featured throughout the villa let light flood in and once opened up create a divine indoor-outdoor living environment. There’s nothing better than waking up and opening your bedroom doors onto the terrace, allowing summer air and sunlight to trickle in as you relax in bed, or head straight out for a seat in the sunshine. 

A 15-minute walk or short drive takes you to the closest resort town which features a handful of seasonal beach bars and restaurants as well as a long stretch of sandy beach. There are sun loungers and umbrellas available to hire and azure water for swimming in. A little closer to the villa there is also a rocky area with spots for diving into the sea.

Just 3km away is the seaside town of Marzamemi, which boasts scenic beaches as well as a busy little port from which various boat tours depart. Here you will also find a supermarket, some quality restaurants and an ice cream shop. 

Other towns nearby include Randazzo, Linguaglossa and Piedimonte, while dotting the landscape in between them are dozens of vineyards, many of which offer tours and tasting sessions. 

The beautiful Vendicari Nature Reserve, home to saltwater lagoons, sand dunes, rocky coves and a range of wildlife including flamingos and storks, is just 12km away.

Location:

On the south-east coast of Sicily, in between the coastal town of Marzamemi and the Vendicari Nature Reserve sits Villa La Palma. With easy access to beautiful beaches and the Mediterranean Sea, this is a glorious location for a seaside holiday.

A few hundred metres away from your doorstep there is a spot where you can jump off the rocks into the sea. Or if you prefer a golden, sandy beach, the closest one can be reached in around a 15-minute walk or a quick car journey. When you aren’t relaxing on a sun lounger or enjoying a refreshing swim, there are summer beach bars and restaurants serving local delights like Aperol Spritz and Spaghetti Vongole. 

Just 3km away sits Marzamemi, a charming town which boasts beaches with soft sand as well as a busy little port from which various boat tours depart. Here you will also find a supermarket, some quality restaurants and a gelataria selling delicious ice cream – ideal for cooling down in the scorching Sicilian sunshine! 

Head inland to the Baroque towns of Noto and Modica which can be reached in under an hour. UNESCO-protected Noto is particularly worth a visit, due to its impressive 18th-century Cathedral and grand architecture, while Modica is also full of history and home to two striking cathedrals – Duomo di San Pietro and Duomo di San Giorgio. The town is also renowned for its chocolate and its chocolate museum is an extremely popular attraction.

Hilltop Ragusa is 70km away and offers more baroque buildings plus the enchanting gardens of the Giardino Ibleo public park, which boasts panoramic views over the valleys below. 

Explore more of the area’s ancient sites by visiting the Archaeological area of Cava d’Ispica. Just 30km away, this incredible gorge features cave homes and burial sites that were carved into the mountainside in the Middle Ages.

The nearby Vendicari Nature Reserve offers the best of unspoilt Sicilian landscapes. Enjoy exploring the lagoons, beaches and coves on foot via one of the various walking trails and having a secluded picnic surrounded by the stunning scenery.
