Built in 1912 by Hannah Hoodwright, Selwood is one of the few heritage homes in the region historically owned by women. Lovingly crafted to resemble a classic English country cottage, it features a green roof, latticed windows, timbered beams, and warm wooden floors — all surrounded by a wild English-style garden that bursts into life between April and May. Tucked amidst misty hills and enveloped by clouds, the cottage offers a serene escape in Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as the "Little England." Guests can expect cool mountain air, breathtaking views, and a deep sense of calm in this hidden sanctuary.
