This 2-bedroom, 2 full bath home is truly special—a magical property where you enjoy the best of both worlds: lush vegetation and oceanfront right in your backyard.

As you approach the home, you’ll immediately appreciate the curb appeal, with beautiful landscaping welcoming you in.

Step inside and you’ll be embraced by over 130-year-old hardwood floors and a warm, coastal, and inviting interior. The kitchen and dining area greet you upon entry, with the living room to your left on the ocean side. Just beyond, the primary bedroom offers a lovely ensuite bathroom.

Off the kitchen, you’ll find the second bedroom and full bathroom, featuring a fun NYC-inspired theme. The living room also includes a queen sleeper sofa, perfect for additional guests. We provide all linens, towels, and essentials to make your stay comfortable from the moment you arrive.

The oceanside of the home is truly breathtaking, with a wall of sliding glass doors offering ocean views from nearly every room. Curtains you can draw as you wish throughout.

A fully equipped kitchen is ready for those who prefer to dine in, or enjoy alfresco meals on the back deck while taking in the ocean breeze. Sunsets here are not to be missed.

Relaxation at it’s finest!!!

My daughter needed some sea therapy, and I found this house which was PERFECTION! Jackie was a dream to work with, and she made the process of booking, enjoying our stay with treats, and checking out seamless. The house is exactly as described, and we enjoyed every minute of our short getaway! I will definitely book again! Thank you Jason and Jackie for opening this house to us, we look forward to visiting again!

Cozy, comfortable cottage plus curious crabs

Fantastic location with excellent beach access. Well-maintained, clean, and cool cottage. Close to plenty of restaurants, both on the island and in Southport. We were pleasantly surprised to find the second bedroom slightly larger than depicted in description (the room has a bed and a dresser; in the photo online it looked like the bed filled the entire room without any room to move around). Beach Day fireworks on July 1 were a pleasant surprise. The pier is exactly .5 of a mile from beach access, making for an easy evening walk. Daylilies and roses in a well-kept garden in front of the home are a nice touch, too.

Wonderful getaway—perfect spot to relax and unwind

We had a wonderful experience all throughout starting with renting this beautiful cottage - excellent communication leading up to and during our stay. The pictures are spot on and as soon as we walked through the doors we felt at home. We could tell that the owners took special care of all the details and comforts. We loved being able to walk out to the beach whenever we wanted to. The views are breathtaking. We highly recommend staying here and plan to come back soon.

Perfect beach get away

House is so charming. It has been lovingly updated and is the perfect stay for 2 people and maybe 2 young children. Fully equipped with everything you would need. The owner was great to deal with and very responsive. Couldn’t have picked a better place. Beach is just a short walk over the dune path. Bed was very comfy and A/C kept the house nice and cool from the heat outside. Would definitely stay here again

Outstanding OKI Retreat

My 3 children and I had the best time and made wonderful memories at lil seabiscuit. Jackie was communicative and everything was written out for us to make our arrival and departure easy. It is the cleanest place with some special features. The little extras are evident throughout. We immediately fell in love with the lovely beach cottage, its layout, comfort in all spaces, the beautiful deck and being on the ocean was incredible convenient for morning sunrise walks, beach afternoons and sunsets to die for. The kitchen is fully stocked for all cooking needs. Having beach chairs and toys was also a bonus! If you have a small family or group you won’t find anything better! We can’t wait to come back!

a week at the perfect beach cottage

My sister and I stayed for seven nights at this cottage on a North Carolina barrier island. We have rented similar places several Aprils in the past. Lil Seabiscuit was far superior to any other experience in both comfort and class. The owners have thought of everything! And when we ran into a problem with the hot water, they helped me solve it immediately, even though they were in Japan at a fancy dinner! Our best experienfe ever!
