Ocean Wind was built in 2020 and is located on the East Beach section of Oak Island. This four bedroom, four and a half bath vacation rental is an ocean view property that features a private pool.

This vacation rental welcomes up to four dogs per reservation year-round and for off-season monthly rentals.

Equipped with basic cable and wireless internet access, guests are able to stay connected or unplug from reality!

Such a great house!

Love the location of this property- you can walk to stores, beautiful ocean views- amazing! Having the pool as an option was great. We have now stayed at this house twice & will def be back again!

The layout of the house is great - two queen rooms downstairs, master and bunk room upstairs. Huge kitchen with everything you need, and you can hear the ocean with the windows open. The house was incredibly clean, and there was plenty of room for the 7 of us. Only two things I would mention - the pool is much smaller than it appears in pictures, but didn’t stop our 3 kids from enjoying it. The walk to the beach is really easy but there is one part where you have to cross some wooden planks across mud. Would definitely stay there again!

Oak Island - Great little House - Work Needed

Great little house, handicap accessible, well-equipped kitchen, beautiful view of the ocean, loved pool on same level as deck. We had a very nice stay, however, we couldn't get the elevator to work, and discovered there was a significant amount of black MOLD growing in an upstairs bath and sitting area. Dog-friendly property was evident by the copious amount of dog hair collecting on the floors, under beds, rug, furniture, etc. Both of these issues were reported to the property manager. Path to beach not best, could use some work on "planks" crossing the marshy area.

Perfect

I’ll comment on what was most important for us. 1). Cleanliness- new build we were second renter. House was impeccable. Not one issue. Sheets, towels etc all clean. 2). Location- perfect. Overlook a protected marsh area. Less than 5 min walk down a semi private road to beach. You have houses on each side but felt very private. For convenience the Food Lion grocery store is also just a 5 min walk. You are extremely close to the local restaurants. 3). Functionality- 4 lounge chairs by the pool with pool area gated separately from porch. Big deal if you have kids or pets. If we were to offer one suggestion it would be to have a larger outdoor patio table. The small round table was fine for us but this house is designed for large families. 2 of the bedrooms had their own bath/shower—super convenient. The main floor bedrooms had a jack and jill bathroom that was well appointed bathroom they shared. Also, on the main floor was another half bath. Gorgeous views off of all decks. Seating for 12 in the kitchen. We cooked 3 meals and everything we needed was included in the kitchen, well stocked. There are several beach chairs, lounge chairs, umbrella to take to beach as well as a wagon to haul it all in. Overall, very peaceful and stress free stay. At check in there was follow up to make sure everything was good. Communication was good. Would love to stay here again.
