The space is enormous! Lots of space. Kitchen is well equipped. Bring sharp knives. Furniture is dated but comfortable. Plenty of linens supplied. The check in office was difficult to find. And checking out, I was told the office opened at 8am, when it didn't open until 9. With a long ride ahead on a holiday weekend, that was annoying.
The condo is very cold and unwelcoming. There is truly nothing inviting about this condo. The furniture and bedding are in serious need of updating. There are no rugs or personal touches to make it feel welcoming and inviting. The front door handle feels like its about to fall off. Some lamps didnât even have light bulbs.I will not stay here again.
Could not enjoy the balconies due to broken unsafe furniture. Another review from July said something about it and management replied it had been replaced. Well it wasn't and i have photos to price it.

Pros: Good location - elevators were fast, parking adequate, heated pool open all day, secure building, staff at building nice, 2 decks, spacious open concept condo space, laundry worked well in unit, ice maker, they give u soap and mini shampoos and dishwasher detergent, etc as welcome packet, mattress comfy- pull out loveseats only good for kids but nice to have.
Cons: loud a/c in bedroom closet, limited seating, very small tv not a smart tv, floors need a good scrub, cabinets generally dusty- kitchen had no Steak knives and could have been better equipped overall, linens are prison quality towels id bring your own towels, hair dryer was gross. Due to the high rise beach area gets so crowded need to setup at sunrise.
Love Fountainhead resort but will not stay in room 1204 again.
The condo was nice and clean but the bed was horrible. The mattress is so old we could feel the springs and it jiggled every time we moved. I went into the closet that had a stack of pillows, blankets and a comforter to use the comforter under our fitted sheet to add some comfort and not feel the springs. When I spread the comforter out, it had a big smear of something that looked like feces on it, which was dried up. We were disgusted with the whole bedroom situation after that. Everything that was in the closet was just thrown in there and should not have been sitting on the dirty tile floor. We notified the rental agency about the bed issue and they said they were going to contact the building manager to check it out, but nobody ever showed up or even contacted us. We stayed in a different room in that same building last year and was very happy, but from my understanding, they were different owners we will never stay in that room again.
The building itself is in an awesome location and had great amenities. The heated pool and direct access to the beach were fantastic. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance, including the Crabcake Factory. We ate there twice and it's only a couple of blocks away. If you love crabcakes, make it a priority to go there. There are several stores within walking distance, including a liquor store, a beach souvenir store, and a Food Lion. The unit itself had some positive qualities and then some not so. The views from both front and back balconies were epic, bar none. You can watch the sunrise and the Atlantic from the ocean balcony and the sunset and bay from the balcony on the front of the building. Shower pressure and temperature were good. The bed was really uncomfortable and it was hard to get a good night's sleep. There are two sofa beds but the beds in those are worse than the bed in the bedroom. However, the sofas themselves were decent and we slept on them a lot. You might want to pack an air mattress or two. The dishwasher although functional could use some updating. It didn't appear to be secured very well under the counter. There is an automatic ice maker which is a plus. There was no blender, beach chairs, nor beach umbrella which was not ideal and not my experience in recent travels to the coast. I would likely return to the building but not so sure about the actual unit. I'd probably give 4.5 stars if I could.
