We have stayed here numerous times with no problems and gave 5 star reviews. This stay the room had a weird smell we couldn’t place until the final night we pulled out the bed and found mold on the wall right below where we had been sleeping and along the floor as well. We all had been feeling a little icky and that must have been the reason. We grabbed carryout from the bar for dinner on the first night and after being rung up and paying we had to ask for our drinks after waiting 10-15 minutes while she made drinks for people that came in after us. We had only ordered 2 beers , nothing fancy. After waiting, paying and tipping she told us the beer we ordered was out of stock. This hotel has certainly gone down hill from the previous 5 years we have stayed there. There is a no smoking policy but we smelled plenty of non tobacco smoke when we had our door open to get rid of the mold smell.

The first night of our stay was wonderful. Our room was very nice and the view of the ocean spectacular. The second evening we came back from dinner and there were many people in the hallway with their door open. Loud music, alcohol,etc . We were not able to relax or sleep. We ended up leaving Princess Royale and moving to a Hampton Inn. We talked to the hotel manager the next day and were able to get a refund for the two nights we didn’t use..but not the night we left. Ended up double paying at Princess Royale and Hampton Inn. The manager told us to call Expedia to get the refund. Who do I talk to about that? In my opinion, the group that was using the 5th floor as a party spot should have been in a conference room/ball room instead. We will not be staying there again.
