Discover The Allenhurst in Ocean Grove - your perfect beach vacation rental. Centrally located, just 2 blocks from the beach and Main Ave, it's a quick 10 min walk to Asbury Park's lively boardwalk and Cookman Ave. Experience the best of the area or enjoy cooking in your kitchen. Leave with unforgettable memories from the premier vacation destination along the Jersey Shore.

The Space:
Large Studio, 1st floor unit with private exterior entrance; pet-friendly - Queen bed, private bathroom with shower, full eat-in kitchen, and living room area with a sleep lounger.

Guest Access:
This is a 1st floor unit and requires 4 steps for access. Guests will be provided with check-in instructions and a personal keycode 3 days prior to and the day of arrival. Upon check-in time, your keycode will activate. Simply enter the code into the keypad on the house front door and room door, and then press the button at the bottom of the keypad. You will need to complete this sequence before the backlight of the keypad times out.

***Please note, guests that did NOT book via Airbnb will need to complete our Rental Agreement prior to receiving their check-in instructions***

Due to our meticulous cleaning standards, early check-ins or late check-outs can only be accommodated based on our turnover schedule. With that in mind, we cannot provide approval for early check-in, in advance. If your room is ready prior to check-in, we will let you know.

Existing and arriving guests that require immediate assistance should call our hotline which is included with our check-in / welcome messages and posted in our lobby. Located in the heart of Ocean Grove and just a quick walk to Asbury Park, the Allenhurst is the ideal place to stay. Whether you're looking for a quite dinner on Main Ave. in OG or a vibrant night at the Asbury Boardwalk or down town strip, we've got you covered! Our location offers unparalleled access to everything that makes the Jersey Shore so special AND the ability to access the train to NYC with a 14 minute walk.

Getting Around:
We're in walking distance to everything. The beach, the boardwalk, live music venues, hundreds of restaurants, bars and shops are all only a few minutes away.

We're also approximately 1/2 mile to the train station with access to NYC or a 30 minute Uber ride to the NYC Ferry.

Other Things to Note:
Quiet hours are strictly enforced: 10PM - 8AM.

Beach passes can be purchased at a discounted rate using the QR code displayed in the lobby.

We have a strictly enforced "No Unregistered Pets" policy. We allow 1 dog (less than 30LB) per unit for an additional cleaning fee of $100.

Please be advised that interior hallways and exterior porches are monitored by video surveillance and noise monitoring systems.

A very nice efficiency apartment in a quiet area in Ocean Grove. The only issue we had was that heat for our unit cannot be controlled so we needed to keep a window open a bit. Otherwise this was a nice place to stay for our visit to New Jersey.

This was a no frills set up in an apartment building with a private exterior entrance. It’s small and basic (no usb charging, mirrors were too high, walls are thin but noise level was still quiet enough, slanted and worn floors, etc.) We knew to keep our expectations in check and chose this place for the location which did not disappoint! Ocean grove is a beautiful, quiet, historic town with lots of great little restaurants and shops. And Asbury Park is just a short walk down the boardwalk, the beach is right there along with everywhere we wanted to go, all a short walk away. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure, we gave 4/5 for cleanliness because some glasses in the cabinet were dirty and coffee drips were not wiped off the counter, and the bathroom door and walls had little spots that a damp rag could’ve cleaned up but overall, that wasn’t a dealbreaker for us. When we went to sleep there was a flash every few seconds from the smoke detector above the bed and the motion light occasionally came on from outside which lit up the room even with the blinds closed. After we fell asleep, this did not bother us but we’d bring sleep masks if we ever stayed again in the future. Communication and check in/out was fine. Good experience overall.

I loved this apartment. It was very clean and well stocked. The bedding was high quality and the towels were plush and felt new. The coffee and creamer was a nice touch. The decor made it feel very cozy. The location was great. I was able to walk everywhere.

Nice alternative to a chain hotel

We were in NJ for Thanksgiving and although we usually stay in a chain hotel we thought it would be fun to try something new. I’m glad we did! The Allenhurst is quiet and affordable and a great location near the beach and stores, coffee. Our room was on the first floor with its own entrance and though small it was a good size for two people. The kitchen was helpful to have. I’d stay in this room again.

Stay was good but charges and cleanliness were a concern. Pricing at first looked like a deal but they get you with upcharges and hidden taxes- we have proof of this in email. The checkout/checkin seemed a little unorganized. When we arrived it didn’t seem like a maid was there prior to us checking in and toilet paper/paper towels had been used. Literally arrived to half a roll of toilet paper we had to go get some...We have photos but will just leave it at that. Otherwise, quick getaway if you’re from the area.

Cute Place

This was a cute place close to the beach and not a bad walk to Asbury Park. Beach chairs to use and an outside common area plus a nice porch were a nice plus. The unit was in need of safety updates. Some I noticed were a loose bar in the shower, the bathroom door was splitting and would stick in the frame, and the wire for the TV (which hangs on the wall) needed to be secured. There was damage to a wall behind the bed and the bathroom vanity cabinet. The owner was rude via email when I voiced my concerns. I did explain to VRBO that the unit needed to be updated. Owner did not offer any compensation nor *more importantly* concern to safety.

A lovely home away from home

We found Allenhurst Unit 4 much to our liking. Very clean, comfortable, and convenient. The sheets and towels seemed new and of high quality. The location offered easy access to beach, shopping, dining, and strolling. We appreciated the availability of beach chairs that were in good shape. The unit was quiet at night. The mattress was of good quality and firmness. The window AC provided good cooling with minimal noise. Getting Hulu on the TV was fun. The hosts were wonderfully responsive to my emailed questions and provided helpful answers quickly. We hope to stay here again. A big thank-you to the hosts and cleaning crew.

Awesome location and great host

There's not much to say other than this property was great, the owner was easy to reach, there is a full kitchen, and the location is walkable to Asbury Park in 10 minutes or the beach in 2 minutes (as a maximum). Thanks!
