This beautiful 2 bedroom, 1 bath vacation home features plenty of space to relax with a screened patio upstairs and downstairs, both overlooking the water. Lake Okeechobee access. This was a great place to stay. The inside was clean and they provide everything you need for your stay. The outside was not clean. There are dead bugs all around upstairs and downstairs making it hard to walk around or even enjoy the outside areas. The dock could be cleaned up from con webs and lots of dead bugs too. Otherwise the stay was great.

Everything about the process was really good!Can tell the owner spent a lot of time providing amenities for their guest. Everything we needed was there. Great provisions! Upper level screen porch it’s really really amazing view and a great space to visit with family.

VRBO could not send me updates for checkin

VRBO customer service is awful, could not help me out when I mistyped my email when booking therefore I never received the booking confirmation nor received checkin process. They could not come up with another way to validate who I was. Thankfully I was finally able to connect with the host. Will think twice before booking again with vrbo. As for the property, it had termites running around everywhere inside. On a positive not, the place was quaint, fairly clean and conveniently located.

The place needs some work

With the state of the flooring in the kitchen leading into the bedrooms and bathroom, I don't think I would offer this house as a rental, especially at the price we paid for the 3 nights. There was obviously a large water leak and the flooring is bowed so bad, you have to wear shoes to walk across it comfortably. The marble slab threshold into the bathroom is a toe banger, sticking up at least an inch above the finished floor, another reason to wear shoes. The outdoors area could use some sprucing up and the deck area should have at least been hosed off to remove the old leaves and yuck that have accumulated. Perhaps a note or two about the outside lighting setup, it took a little while to determine how to turn on all the lights outside and on the deck, but we got it figured out eventually. We had a great time and enjoyed the cabin immensely, but unfortunately the issues will stand out in our memories. This cabin has the ability to be a first-class rental and I know it will be with the proper repairs.

In need of Repairs

Stay clear of this listing. The entire place needs a complete face lift!!!! Everything is old, and run down. The kitchen floor is rotting out under the wood flooring. You can tell the owner put zero dollars back into their property! Bare bones on everything. I’ll never stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. We didn’t know until after we had paid that caretakers lived on the bottom floor. However, it turned out okay. We never saw them. We were hoping to use the boat ramp located at the house, but it had overgrown reeds and a large boat trailer there, so it was unusable. The outside of the property needs some maintenance. It had overgrown bushes around it. The upper floor was very nice, clean, and equipped with everything. The area and neighborhood was very nice and quiet. Overall, nice stay.

Old guys fishing trip

Bunch of retired guys hoping to catch a bunch of fish. Location was excellent and parking was not an issue for two truck and two bass boats. Every neighbor who came by were exceptional in their friendliness, especially the next door neighbor to the east. The unit was way better than we have endured in the past, very nice and the deck was a pleasant place to hang after a long day fishing. Would definitely rent again
