Am amazing setting, spectacular scenery, wonderful walking tracts. The establishment itself needs some TLC, its not terrible but for the overall cost of staying there I think some maintenance is necessary.

Great accomodation but there was no liquid detergent for washing up dishes and no broom. I did ask staff for some detergent but there was none available. It makes it a little difficult to clean fry pans and wipe down counters. But other wise a wonderful short holiday!

I booked a night at O'Reilly's Rainforest Lodge for our 40th wedding anniversary and was slightly disappointed with our overnight stay. We were given the only room in the block that didn't have a car park directly underneath our room which meant we had to leave our car in the day visitors car park about 100 metres away. The room facilities were fine and the bed was comfortable and warm. The dining options were limited to a choice between the dinner buffet for $70 per person or expensive a la carte options from the bar. We chose to have the buffet and it was okay. We attempted a couple of the shorter walks but it had been raining so the walks were slightly muddy and slippery so we returned to the room. The highlight of our stay was the Early Morning Bird Walk with a member of staff as the guide. We saw lots of small birds during the walk and the guide provided lots of information about them. Overall, I thought that the Lodge needs to update some of its iconic features if it wants return patronage.

If you can sleep because of outside noise, that merits a zero star recommendation. Banging loose metal roofing blown around by the wind went on all night Informed by reception that they know about this problem, but they haven’t got round to fixing it, Well, thanks for that Oreilly.
