If you're looking for the ideal Cape Cod beach cottage experience, you'll find it in this updated two-bedroom East Orleans cottage. The cottage is an “up and down” style home. On the main level you will find a living room, kitchen, bath and primary bedroom with a queen-sized bed. The lower level has it's own private entrance (no access from the main level). And down there you will find a living area with a comfy pullout sofa, kitchenette and one bedroom with two twins plus another full bath connected to the twin room. A perfect layout for two families. And you are about 1.25 miles to Nauset Beach!

Outside is where you'll be spending most of your time. The owners have added a heated pool. A great place to relax after a day at Nauset Beach. There is a great deck with a gas grill. Plus there is a hot tub! You'll also find a large picnic table with an awning if you want to get out of the sun and a gas fire-pit. Next to all of that you have the coolest garage in Orleans that has been transformed. Inside you will find a bar, Foosball table and seating for 8 for those times when you'd prefer not to eat outside. And of course no trip to the Cape is complete without an outdoor shower, a fundamental part of the perfect Cape Cod vacation.

Inside the cottage you'll find all the comforts of home. There is AC provided by efficient split units, the kitchen is fully equipped and of course, there is Wi-Fi and cable TV. Enjoy this wonderful cottage in Orleans. An updated beach cottage that is a perfect place to make some family memories for years to come.

This place is good

This place is good. There were zero surprises, which is a good thing, and an uncommon one these days! It very quickly felt like home. We enjoyed the hot tub, and the grill is a Weber, which was nice. Buyer beware, there are no hangers (only hooks), and the bathroom is indeed very small. But that’s just a detail, and we would definitely repeat.

Excellent location

This home is in an excellent location , down the street from Nauset Beach and close to the bay for beautiful sunsets, not far from the cape cod rail trail for biking. There are many food options nearby and the Friends grocery store has a great assortment of prepared foods, groceries, and wine. The landscaping is beautiful and well maintained which really added to relaxing vibe in the outdoor spaces. The pool was wonderful. The house itself was in good condition and nicely decorated. I would book this house again.

Cute farmhouse close to the beach

The 1st and 2nd floors are split with only exterior access. Luckily it was just me, my husband, and our 2 year old who slept in a travel crib in the master bedroom so we had no need for the bottom floor. We did go check it out and it had a bad mildew odor. Not sure if that was HVAC related or bad drainage around the foundation. However it would be perfect for older kids and their friends. The property is also great for a group of adults. Between the pool, abundant outdoor seating areas, and the bar in the garage there was lots to keep our little one busy. It was very close to Nauset Beach and a quick drive to the center of Orleans. The house is right on the road but they did a great job creating privacy with fences and trees. Checkout is 10am, but the process was very quick and easy. Pretty Picky also had an electronic property guidebook which answered all of our questions. The hot tub was full of chemicals, which I understand, but also made it quite unenjoyable. Overall, the place was awesome and perhaps 10 years down the road when our kids are older we’ll stay again!

Soccer Tournament

This cottage was the perfect place for us Columbus Day Weekend. Our oldest daughter had multiple games all weekend, and we did not want to commute from Nantucket. The house was perfect for my two girls to enjoy their own space and bathroom (downstairs area). It poured rain one of the days, so it was nice to be able to wash her uniform. Another day we had 6 hours to kill between games and we were able to have some of the girls over to have lunch and relax for a few hours before returning to the fields.

Perfect getaway

What a beautiful week we had! The property was as described and immaculate. The kitchen and baths were new and clean, the pool and grounds just beautiful and really well cared for. We loved the variety of outdoor spaces - pool, deck, yoga area, dining area, and even TV in the game room. The separate entrance to the downstairs was as described, and the space worked for our teenagers but good to note that the bathroom and a/c down there are in one of the bedrooms (and the other is a little tight, but definitely usable). We can't stress enough how clean and well maintained the house was, and the location is just perfect -- 1 mile from the beach (about a 20 minute walk), 10 minute walk to breakfast, quick drive to ice cream! As in other reviews, our only recommendation would be that the house needs mirrors! (at least one!), and it might be helpful to have some step lights leading down from the deck because it gets pretty dark. But that's it. The management company was a pleasure to deal with -- friendly, very quick to respond, very clear and accessible guest handbook and check-out instructions. It was a perfect family week and we hope to be back soon.

Great for small family

We brought our 2 kids (ages 6 and 4) for the week and had a wonderful time. Perfectly located for quick access to beaches, restaurants, shopping, mini golf, etc. While we weren’t out and about, we spent most of our time in the pool which the kids absolutely loved. The converted garage was also a huge hit and a great space for hanging out. The water quality of the hot tub was sub par (very cloudy and dirty looking) when we arrived so we opted not go in. Fortunately we had an extremely warm week of weather so it was not a huge deal. The downstairs bedroom w the double bed is extremely tight w minimal air flow. Fortunately we did not have anyone that needed to occupy this bedroom so we just kept it shut for the week. Overall would recommend for a small family getaway. Just keep in mind that there is no access to downstairs from inside the house. This was not a deal breaker for us since we just set up a monitor to keep an eye on the kids while they slept down there.

It was an amazing property, we had a great time and the outdoor living space was excellent! It was a quick drive to beach, and about a 20 minute walk. The property was clean and well cared for, we would stay here again. Only cons were limited mirrors and no hooks downstairs for hanging things. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed the property.

Made New Memories in This Beautiful Home

I had always come to Orleans as a kid, so I wanted to take my partner and our 3 kids (8, 11, 14) to the Chocolate Sparrow and Skaket and all my favs! But I wanted a house that was covid-proof incase we couldn’t leave the house much! This was it. The pool was immaculate and bigger than it seemed online! The hot tub was very clean. The house was impeccable. It only rained once, thankfully, because it is worth noting that the only into the upstairs is through the outside. But that was fine for our crew! (My 8 year old was the only one a little hesitant). The landscaping was spectacular- so much to see! Management reached out quickly to a few questions we had. We will be back!

Since the bathrooms are smaller - totally expected, though - and we had a group of ladies all trying to primp for the day, it would have been helpful to have an extra mirror in one of the living rooms. Otherwise, this little vacation home was NOT short on amenities. :)

Cute, comfy and clean

We had a lovely weeklong stay during April school vacation. Our 17 year-old particularly enjoyed having her own space in the lower level. The house and property are a fabulous respite in any weather, indoors and out. We enjoyed the gas fireplace on chilly nights, and the yard and garage game room on warmer days. The house is well equipped with just about everything you can think of. The property managers were very organized and responsive, from booking through checkout.
