Come and stay at a private Cabin in the pines overlooking the Clearwater River in Orofino, Idaho. You will experience end of the road privacy in a wilderness setting in a Cabin with contemporary furnishings and amenities. It is truly a unique lodging experience in the Clearwater River Valley.

Although you will feel like you are a million miles from anywhere, the Cabin is located just 5 miles from downtown Orofino.

There are lots of things to do in the area. Hunting, fishing, boating, floating, hiking, swimming, shooting, and ATVing are some popular pastimes. There are also lots of local activities to enjoy: the Clearwater County Fair and Logging Show; Farmers Market; Car Show & Shines; Weippe Rodeo; Spring Roundup; Holiday Craft Show; Banquets; Parades; 4th of July Fireworks Show and more. There are unique stores to explore downtown, a bowling alley, movie theater, several restaurants, beauty salons and more.

The Cabin is located just 5 miles from downtown Orofino and the Clearwater River where you can find great steelhead and salmon fishing. It is located just 10 miles from Dworshak Reservoir where you will find great kokanee and bass fishing. Travel just 30 minutes to thousands of acres of public and pay hunting land.

After all of your adventures, relax in a peaceful setting at the cabin on one of the decks or sit by the bonfire. The cabin has a loft queen bedroom and two queen sleeper sofas with extra thick mattress pads.

If relaxing and getting away from it all is what you crave, look no further. You will experience complete privacy at the Cabin in a County with no stoplights, traffic jams or waiting lines. Just make sure to bring your camera because the photographic beauty is endless.

Please be advised that the Cabin is a fine lodging establishment for a maximum of six people and is not a suitable event venue. We want everyone to enjoy their stay, however, large parties are not allowed. Our rates are based on double occupancy so there are extra guest fees for more than two people. Also note that the last mile of the drive is a gravel road so you might not want to drive your prized low profile vehicle here.

Cabin was cozy. It would have been helpful to know that you have a steep staircase because some people may not be able to naviagte-elderly, height-averse. We had a bit of trouble with the winding road to your turnoff as well. But once we arrived, it was a beautiful retreat.

I loved your cabin in the woods. The location is amazing with deer, turkeys and wildlife all around. Lots of room around the cabin for an outdoor bonfire and party. It was a great getaway.

The cabin and setting are stunning. but the host’s behavior made the experience deeply uncomfortable and overshadowed the positives so I cannot recommend staying here. The host monitors the property with multiple visible cameras and showed up twice unannounced.First, he appeared at the door while our 14-year-old granddaughter was home alone, without prior notice. Later, when we tried to leave a day early, he blocked the narrow gravel driveway with his truck, inspected our cars, and aggressively confronted us about paying for extra guest. We were happy to pay for any extra we owed so a phone call would have resolved his concerns. Between constant surveillance, surprise visits, and a hostile confrontation, what should have been a relaxing getaway became stressful. Unless you’re comfortable with zero privacy and an intimidating host, avoid this property.

Quiet cabin in the woods

This was our third time staying and once again enjoyed our stay. The cabin is the perfect place to come back to after long days out fishing. Kitchen is well stocked and with the grill out back you can easily make a grilled steak with mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli and corn on the cob. In the evening he wood fire place makes for a cozy movie night.

Secluluded Escape

This cabin is secluded, clean, thoughtful and you can tell the owners care about their property and are meticulous to their guests' experience. We weren't quite expecting the drive up and down the facing outside of Orofino to get to the cabin, but it wasn't too bad and added to its seclusion. You cannot see the River itself really from the cabin, if that's important to you, but we could see the road alongside it. Overall, a great place to stay on a beautiful, well-takem care of property.

The cabin is a great little property, perfect for my husband and I and our dogs. I will say that the road to access it is steep and winding with a sharp drop off. We didn’t realize it and it surprised us a bit. Just something to be aware of. Otherwise everything was really nice.

We had a comfortable stay. My moose loving husband was a fan of the decor. The kids said the hideabed couches were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped enough for me to make last minute dishes for my daughters wedding. Location was great for us, however if we had been in a low clearance vehicle, it would have been challenging. Wifi worked well enough for me to work, hosting a 2 hour zoom class from the porch. Only complaints: the beautiful wood stairs are slick with socks, so i took a tumble from the living area to the bathroom, in the middle of the night (thankful it wasnt the loft stairs!) Kids would have liked access to popular streaming apps (Netflix, hulu, etc) but access was blocked by a code.

Beautiful, clean, and charming. The cabin is tucked back a bit, allowing for privacy. The river is visible through the trees. Wonderful for couples, or small groups.
