Good stay

The house is very nice, well kept and taken care of. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us and two dogs. We really appreciated the open living/dining area! Only thing to mention, not a complaint, is that the upstairs does get quite warm in the afternoon, the AC cannot keep up. The lower level will get bone chilling cold if you aren’t careful. Good stay, we would go back!

It needs TLC. Upon arrival there was no internet connection and that lasted several hours. When you took a shower upstairs or used the kitchen sink it smelled of rotten eggs even after letting the water run for long periods of time (owner suggested). The downstairs bathroom tub/shower was inoperable. No porch light to see when taking out my dog. We made it fun and memorable even though the housing was not to our satisfaction or standards.

Overnight Stay

It was just an overnight stay before a work retreat. We just wanted to come down the night before so we didn’t have to wake up super early and drive down that Friday! It was a beautiful place and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of this place. It also has a tragically beautiful story behind why the property owner came to own it!

Lovely Cabin

This property was very well maintained and had lots of kitchen appointments and appliances that would have made cooking a breeze. I didn't know that, but if we return next year we will bring some things to cook! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was also nice enough to let me check in early when I was attending a conference and couldn't find a parking place.

Loved the place. We didn't do any cooking other than the coffee pot. My only concern is as a Retired Navy Shipfitter and Pipefitter, every faucet and shower head in the house needs to be cleaned with something like CLR. Their spray pattern and volume would improve. I would diffently stay at Brett's Oasis again.

Overall pleased. Someone had used the upstairs toilet prior to us checking in. The "cleaned" paper was on the lid but there was urine and toilet tissue in the water in the bowl. There was hair on the bed sheets in the bedroom with the 3 beds, the bed on the right as you enter the room. The deck is in disrepair and poses a potential safety hazard. Multiple rotten floor boards. Railing rotting and loose. Outside screens both broken, the outer one is missing. The morning of July 9, 2023 there were ants that invaded the kitchen , running along the wall left of the sink and across to the kitchen table floor. The refrigerator should have all previous food items removed including condiments (sauces, ketchup, etc.) Dishwasher difficult to close secondary to door probably being loose. This also does not cleanse the dishes, requiring washing by hand.

Weekend Getaway

Everyone was suffering from cabin fever. We usually find a hotel with a pool, however we would need 2 rooms to accommodate our tribe. This house was perfect for our group with plenty of room for the children to play. The price was perfect too, allowing us to take the children to the on sight water park. It was a great weekend for all!
