Twin Cypress on False River

This Lakehouse is literally over the water. It has an unforgettable panoramic view overlooking the lake! The kitchen is built into the living room so you can prepare food and enjoy the view at the same time. The custom kitchen is adorned with 150+-year-old reclaimed cypress wood. All kitchen appliances are NEW and stainless steel. Including a high-end gas Z-Line stove and oven. There is a custom bar top that wraps around the kitchen as well. Great for serving food and enjoying a beverage. The entertainment center includes a 75 inch LG smart TV. It can easily be enjoyed from anywhere in the living room including the kitchen. 5 XLarge cypress beams going across the ceiling give it a feeling of south LA rustic charm. All of the bedrooms are custom built with individual accents in each. This place is ultra comfortable and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Perfect weekend getaway! My family had the best time staying at Twin Cypress this weekend. You cannot beat the beautiful view from the large living room windows. There was plenty of space and plenty of comfortable sleeping. The downstairs patio area was perfect to sit in the shade and watch the kids swim. We will definitely be staying here again!

Family stay

I own a camp two doors down and had my mother and father, my sister and brother in law, my two nieces with their husbands stay at this property. Extremely clean and plenty of space. My parents don’t travel much anymore but really enjoyed their stay. Highly recommend this property. My mother and father said they’d stay there and only there WHEN they visit again.

Best Camp on the River!

The camp was exactly as described but even better in person. All of my friends were comfortable. It was clean and well cared for. The best part of the whole stay was the host Emmit! What a great guy!!!! Excellent communication and fun to be around. Will definitely book with Emmit again. Check out his boat rentals as well.

USBC Bowling and getaway

This property is an awesome vacation getaway spot. Ideally located close to Baton Rouge, with many convenience stores and local cuisine within 10-15 minutes of the house. My fiancé and I came with 4 of our kids aged 3 to 14 and had 2 friends with their 3 boys aged 16-22.There was plenty of space for us all to spread out and not be on top of each other. The boys fished right off the dock and were catching catfish. We ended up renting a pontoon boat from the owner, Emmett, and were delightfully pleased with his prompt delivery of the boat and reasonable prices. He had plenty of flotation devices for our whole crew and rental price included a tube and a tow rope. Emmett also will captain the boat for you for an additional fee if needed. We also enjoyed anchoring in front of the house and just floating. We will definitely be looking to rent this property if we ever stay near Baton Rouge again.

Daughters 25th Birthday

We celebrated our daughters 25th birthday at Twin Cypress on False River. Emmett was a great host and readily available when needed. Beautiful house, great location, great views and great eats nearby. We ended our trip with a boat ride on the lake, loved by all. We will book again for sure. Thanks again Emmett.

Love this Lake House

Emmett was such a sweet owner to work with, gave us a recommendation of where to eat near by, Juerrus Restaurant, it was excellent food...Super nice staff! There is nothing like walking out of your bedroom in the morning to the wall of windows view of the lake, WOW! Very comfortable beds, seating, darling kitchen. Don't hesitate just book it. Great birthday getaway

Mimi’s 80th

Everything was good except a few small things- no additional toilet paper in master bathroom and only a small amount to begin with. Also no coffee maker first day and no coffee and measuring cups to bake with. Numerous nails poking up on floors- very dangerous especially for my 2 grand babies who just started walking. A lil disappointed about third bathroom being outside too. Overall good stay though! Plenty room but kitchen needs a few more items to make it complete!

Peaceful Getaway

Gorgeous view - gorgeous home. What a great time we had here over the weekend. And the lake water is cold as my teens can attest! We played cards in front of these beautiful windows. The beds were comfortable. I am rambling but it was wonderful.
