Everything was simply horrible. Incredibly rude, none of the amneties were provided as promised, and everything was dirty, or simply didn't work.
Urine stains, no electricity, no water, no internet, provided towels were dirty.
If you simply need a place to sleep, sleep with the cows out back instead.
Nice hotel to stay a night if you want to get on a ferry the next day. Google maps says you can drive to the location, this is only true for bikes and not cars. Friendly staff that helps with suitcases and cooks breakfast for you.
I stayed in Padangbai for 6 days, for diving with my friends (who stayed elsewhere). As previous reviews have said, this place is a little hard to find, but the entire village is so small that it doesnât take long - and anyone you ask on the street will point you in the right direction. You canât drive to the front door but the walk is only about 300m and there are a lot of signs! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Front desk is 24 hours. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable with AC and a HOT shower, usual for Asia! I also liked that there are a few options in the room to lock your belongings with a key that you can then take with you. The location is very close (5 min) from the dock where you can go to Lombok or go diving, and many food choices close by. They do offer breakfast here from 7:30-11, I usually only had coffee and fruit because I donât like to eat a lot before diving but the options smelled great. The price was right for me and I enjoyed my stay!
It was our first staying in Padangbai and we were would not stay in the hotel again as we we did not like it there.
Here the reasons.
1. Hotel very hard to get to ( only by foot or scooter )especially at night with barking dogs and not much light
2. Staff were very intense trying to sell us tours, transport every day of our stay for more money than we would pay elsewhere which made us feel uncomfortable.
3. Rooms had dirty blankets even after we ask to change it
4. Surrounding area and way to hotel were dirty and noisy. rubbish laying around, barking dogs rustlers etc.
5. Open Shower in bathroom which did wet the whole room
Things we liked
Ok Internet
Breakfast ok with fresh fruit
Candlelight dinner on beach with yummy home cocked food from local lady Ketut Dias who is selling juice and drinks on the beach in front of Momo Dive Centre. Just ask here she offers dinner at her house too.
Our experience at Kailash honestly was terrible. The room was rundown and dirty. There was ants all over our room and our room faced a large farm field with cows and chickens and it smelt like poop. The path to get to the place was sketchy and we did not feel safe at all. They were burning garbage and plastic in the fields and it was quite harsh on the lungs. We were also chased down the path by dogs as we tried to leave the place. Padang bai is not a place you stay overnight. Just a place to stop in during the day. We had planned to stay 3 nights and left after less than 24 hours.
It s ok! Not expensive neither cheap compared to Balinese prices. We arrived late at night and left early in the morning, so our expectations were low. There was no way we d stay longer than this.
For this price and less we strayed in much much better places.
The hotel is not easily located, however once you find it is convenient for taking the ferry to the Gillis or Lombok.
Not so clean and old facilities.
Nice view.
A little hard to find at first but ask anyone along the way and hey will direct you. Tucked away from the more overpriced places along the shore and very clean and new. Very nice staff, and the breakfast is decent. Would stay again.
Terrible hotel. Its a long walk trough cows and chickens and it smells like rotten fruit/dead animal trough the whole area. The toilet smelled moldy and was very dirty. No internet connection.! Bad breakfast. Should stayed 2 night but I just sleeped there 1... terrible. Not a good spot for a âhotelâ bad service they couldnt help me with my heavy bags to the boats.
