It comprises a cozy living room with a wood-burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with two single beds), a bathroom with a bathtub, and a separate toilet.
Comforts included: towels and linens provided, beds made upon arrival, internet access, dishwasher, washing machine, and TV. A private terrace and garden invite relaxation (the garden is a private space for the owners, who are discreet). The traditional Forez-style gallery offers a direct view of the peaceful countryside. In October 2024, La Grunonde received the René Fontaine - Maisons Paysannes de France national "coup de coeur" award for the quality of the restoration of this converted farmhouse. This gîte, accommodating 4 people, welcomes you at an altitude of 830 meters, nestled in the lush greenery typical of the Monts du Forez. A tastefully renovated former farmhouse, it offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, with wooden floors, whitewashed walls, and carefully chosen furnishings. From the Forez-style gallery, you can admire the rolling meadows while the children play in the garden. An ideal place to reconnect with what truly matters, far from the hustle and bustle. Palogneux is a small, unspoiled village, perfect for nature lovers. Just a few kilometers away, you can discover the Chorsin waterfall, the medieval ruins of Couzan Castle, or the unique basalt columns of the Forez region. In winter, skiers and snowboarders can head to the Chalmazel ski resort (17 km) or the Haut Forez Nordic Area (12 km) for some great outdoor fun. Hikers can set off directly from the gîte on marked trails.
