The little things that make a stay comfortable are what sets “Away From It All” apart from the rest. This first-floor condo is located at the Purple Parrot Resort and is great for a weekend away or long-term stays. The name describes the experience you will have in this comfortable condo that is tucked within a quiet cluster of cottages, just steps away from the resort lagoon pool and Tiki bar. The living area has plenty of seating for your entire party and features a large flat screen TV with wireless internet throughout. The bedroom features a king-size bed with.a cozy feather topper and an additional television. The full bathroom can be accessed from either the bedroom or living space with a washer and dryer nearby. The fully stocked kitchen with solid surface counter tops and dishwasher will help you to feel at home where you can prepare a small snack or gourmet dinner. There is a lot to do and see in this laid-back, small beach community but the most popular attraction is indisputably the azure colored water of the Gulf of Mexico with squeaky-clean white sand beaches. If you prefer unsalted water, make sure to enjoy the resort's luxurious oasis-style outdoor pool with a Tiki bar and island jacuzzi or the indoor pool and hot tub. Excellent unit, fully stocked, incredibly clean and spotless, everything in perfect working order. Small 1 bedroom had a fold out sofa in living room. Ample storage and lots of lovely light in all rooms with louvered shutters to filter sunlight and see lovely trees surrounding the unit. AC worked perfectly. Had a great screened-in front porch, a place to sit and take in the solitude. Fantastic indoor swimming pool with hot tub and nice gym (very noisy bike however) and humongous outside pool w hot tub, bar and snack bar. A perfect place for an intimate getaway. Nice and quiet at night (Aug 26-30, 2025).Grocery store and restaurants nearby.

We love the large pool and surrounding deck area. My husband sure enjoyed the free rounds of golf. It was so convenient to have the Tiki Hut and bar on property. Quiet nice condo.

This place was very nice. It was clean and peaceful. We had an A/C maintenance issue that took 2 days for someone to come to fix. The mattress needs to be replaced. Overall, we enjoyed this place.

Everything was well organized from check in to checkout. Perfect distance from the beach, the pool was fabulous. We really enjoyed the live music at the Tiki Bar, and the quiet surroundings of the condo.

The front porch had too much stuff on it. The closet had an excessive amount of extra bedding. Outside of that we enjoyed the pool and closeness to beach access. The neighborhood was quiet and comfortable.

Condo was great, clean and comfortable. Close to Johnson Beach. Only recommendation I would make is for the complex to paint parking lines to fit appropriate amount of cars. Too many people parked crooked or to far apart which causes not enough spaces near the building you are staying at.

The Purple Parrott - Perfect Get Away

The property was beautifully decorated and maintained. Easy access to Johnson beach and several public beach access. The property offered live music everynight, which was enjoyable. The only confusing part was the check-in process. This unit does not have keyless entry which resulted in a trip to the property manager (off site). The checkin instructions stated at 4 pm you would be given access to the code for the property. In fact we were only given the code for the properties main gate. Once inside the property we discovered that you had to drive to a different location to get the phyaical key. This could have been expalined better by the property management in instructions prior to your arrival. The parking at this particular location (near the exit and on the second row of buildings) was very limited. Our first night we had to unload and then regain access to property to find parking in front of a different unit on a different street (we had other family staying in this unit).

What a great last minute get away!

We had the best time at the Purple Parrot! The pool was so fun! There was live music everyday. The condo was nestled away so you felt like you were in a rainforest by the beach. The neighbors (residents) were very nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Purple parrot paradise

Enjoyed 9 days to spend time with our son who just completed Navy bootcamp and was stationed at Pensacola. It was a quick 20 minute ride to the base so location was perfect. It was a quick walk to the beach access and grocery was within a 2 minute drive. PERFECT! Residence was a secure, gated property with a great pool. The bed was comfy and kitchen adequately stocked. Laundry and dishwasher was great to use. Beach towels and more pantry storage for food stuff would have been nice but we kept it all out on the spacious kitchen counter. There is a wall by the sink where an upper cabinet would fit 😉! Also I had to rearrange the closet (and I couldn't help but refold/organize the shelf that held blankets and pillows on it😂) so there was space to stow our one large suit case. There was a lot of not used home decor taking up floor space but the closet was large and there is plenty of dresser space! Couch and recliners were cozy and living space was open and welcoming. Extra screened in porch was nice to sip your morning coffee or evening cocktail. It was also handy to have coolers, beach chairs, coffee pot/Keurig combo, plenty of plates, towels and board games. We will most definitely stay again if given the opportunity! 5+ stars!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Needed Respite

My family roots are in the area and I have stayed in several PPR condos over the years . This was perfect. Away from noise, downstairs, and the coffee cup that greeted me when I opened the cabinet said PEACE. I came to town for a memorial reef deployment for my little sister, and was thrilled when I was able to extend my stay from 4 to 7 days. The quiet peace and gentle comfort of this place was a respite of comfort calm and contemplation. It is quiet and away from the main activity, so the music isn't heard at night.Everything I needed plus more was here. The cart to help me unload made it much easier and is a thoughtful addition Walking Johnson Beach. Being close enough to visit family but also having a nest of solitude with sheets that were amazing and plenty of pillows and even a confortable recliner that was perfect for my sometimes quirky back. I will definitely be back.
