Bay Beach House is perched on a sand dune with spectacular views of the sparkling, clear, blue waters of Peppermint Grove Beach. Walk down to the beach, which is literally on your doorstep, and you can enjoy the long wide stretch of white sand and safe swimming, snorkelling and fantastic fishing just perfect for families. It's not unusual to see a pod of dolphins frolicking in the water in front of you. The beach house has a wide wraparound veranda which is ideal for entertaining or watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean, concrete floors perfect (and sensible) for its beachside location, and is very comfortably furnished throughout with everything you need for your holiday. Even though it is Pet Friendly the property is unfenced.

Amazing location but this place is not very clean

Overall it was a good experience - the proximity to the ocean is truly special, as are the views on to it from the living/kitchen space. However it was spoiled by how dirty the rooms are - particularly the sleeping areas. It was lovely having the cozy woodheater in the lounge. But be prepared - you do need to pay for your own wood (!)

We loved everything about our stay, from the OUTSTANDING view, the fab and funky house, and the brilliant communication with the propert manager Lorena who was responsive, helpful and so lovely to deal with. Little piece of paradise

The location of the house is incredible, the view is even better than the pictures. We got to see dolphins every morning, sunsets and we were lucky to see a moonset and a few shooting stars from the back deck too. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The beds, pillows and linen were perfect. There is also a warm outdoor shower that made the whole family happy. Our two young boys didn't complain about showering once! (a feat in our family). The access to the beach is very close as well, and the beach itself is spectacular. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to have this experience and to the property managers for kind and fast responses to our messages. We had a wonderful couple of days.

Beautiful spot and a nice property overall.

There was no wood for the pot belly stove as other reviews have complained. When I complained I was told if I wanted wood I should go and buy some with no offer to cover any of the cost. I also said there is no kindling. The manager told me to cut some. When I said I am 71 and not able to she told me to buy some. Also the tv doesn't work and there is no extractor fan above the stove so when you cook the house fills up with the smoke.

Great views

We stayed for a weekend and were very pleased with the location for views, beach access and peace and quiet. The house was well equipped and clean with plenty of space for 2 adults 2 teenagers and a dog. The dog had to be closely supervised outside as there was no enclosed area and threat of snakes etc, but it wasn’t a big problem for us. Great, easy stay to unwind for the weekend.

Location perfect, house average

The location of this property is perfect as pictured. The house itself is in need of some TLC. Many of the taps leaked and the exhaust fan in the bathroom was noisy. Although there was a wood burner, there was no wood. The floor was not cleaned and there were dishes left in the dish strainer. Contact with the agent swiftly remedied the cleanliness, which was appreciated. Overall disappointed with the state of the property, however some maintenance would go a long way to making this a much more comfortable stay.

Great location and great property

Beds doubles rather than queen so a little small for my partner who is over 6ft. Pot belly fire and choice of sofas and sitting areas was great! Amazing view and outdoor area. Has a great stay.

Weekend getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend with Peppermint Grove Beach as our base. The house was lovely, the beach was beautiful. The downside were the beds. They were so uncomfortable. Invest in some mattress toppers. Your patrons will thank you for it! Thanks for a great weekend.

Perfect.

We were all very impressed with the presentation, location and overall feel of the property. Situated right on the beach front, it was glorious to wake up to the waves crashing and see the sun set each night. If I had to fault anything, it would be the indoor sun bed lounges... not overly comfortable but fortunately we didn't spend much time on them! Thank you for a great stay :)

Lacked TLC, booking process was difficult and delayed reply on emails. Would have appreciated if we weren't shoved out the door before 10am checkout. Otherwise would've been a great stay if not for this.
