Casa Afra on quiet hills near Lucca and with an amazing view

Casa Afra is a rustic that has been recently renewed with fine decorations. It has 2 floors, an external garden with barbecue corner, ping pong table, terrace, large living room, large dining room with fireplace, and a brand new fully equipped kitchen. On the second floor there is bathroom with shower box, a twin bedroom (beds can be joined), single bedroom and large main double bedroom with stunning view. Maximum sleeps is for 5 guest and a baby (baby bed is available on request). The tap water is drinkable and tastes super, so no need to buy and carry lots of bottled water.

Nous avons passĂ© 10 jours dans cette sympathique maison de village Ă  15-20 min de Lucques (par une route en lacets). La maison est trĂšs calme, avec un bon Ă©quipement. La vue est trĂšs dĂ©gagĂ©e dans la chambre principale, plus limitĂ©e dans les autres endroits. L'arrivĂ©e et le dĂ©part sont parfaits, quelqu'un nous venant Ă  l'heure indiquĂ©e; le propriĂ©taire trĂšs amical vit Ă  30 minutes de la maison et rĂ©pond immĂ©diatement Ă  toute question pendant le sĂ©jour (via whatsapp, ou appel). Wifi parfait. Cuisine (gaziniĂšre) trĂšs correctement Ă©quipĂ©e, lave linge et lave vaisselles fonctionnels et simples. Un lit bĂ©bĂ© installĂ© Ă  notre demande. Au total, parfaite base pour ĂȘtre tranquille, hors de la ville et de la plaine de Lucques, plus chauds en cette pĂ©riode d'Ă©tĂ©.

Supertolle Unterkunft und sehr, sehr gastfreundliche,hilfsbereite Vermieter

Sehr erholsamer, ruhiger und entspannender Urlaub. Die Vermieter waren sehr, sehr gastfreundlich und sehr hilfsbereit !!! Viele tolle Tipps erhalten. Tolle Lage des Hauses, traumhaft schöner Ausblick und uriges Haus. Viele Sitzmöglichkeiten im Aussenbereich. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an die tollen Vermieter !!!

Very nice house at a beautiful location

The house is situated high in the mountains. Go there over small streets. Beautiful environment. Peacefull and silent stay. Also a place from where you can visit a lot of other places. Altough other places seems not far, it’s always longer driving because of all the circles around the mountains. To come somewhere take more time. Overall a beautiful and good place with friendly owners.

Wir haben 5 Tage in dem schönen Haus verbracht, die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, wir wurden von Paolo mit toskanischen Köstlichkeiten empfangen. Leider hat das Wetter nicht mitgespielt, es gab ein heftiges Gewitter mit umgekippten BĂ€umen und Stromausfall, das wurde aber zĂŒgig wieder in Ordnung gebracht.Ein großer Nachteil sind die StechmĂŒcken, man konnte den schönen Garten ĂŒberhaupt nicht nutzen. Alle Gegenmitteln haben nichts gebracht.

Sehr schönes großzĂŒgiges Haus mit tollem Ausblick

Das gemĂŒtliche Haus ist sehr großzĂŒgig geschnitten und bot uns mit 3 Schlafzimmern, einem Wohnzimmer, einem Esszimmer, Bad und KĂŒche sehr viel Platz. Das Bad und die KĂŒche sind in einem modernen Zustand und sehr gut ausgestattet. Alle Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Terrasse und der Garten bieten viele Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten an und laden zum Verweilen ein. Die Vermieter waren sehr, sehr freundlich und haben uns herzlich empfangen. Wir haben viele erteile Tipps fĂŒr AusflĂŒge und Unternehmungen erhalten, bei denen uns sogar bei der ein oder anderen Buchung geholfen wurde. Abschließend möchten wir noch anmerken, dass eine problemlose Kommunikation sowohl in Deutsch, als auch in Englisch möglich war.

Wunderbarer RĂŒckzugsort

Wir wurden sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen mit erfrischenden GetrĂ€nken und eigenen Aprikosen und Oliven. Haus und Garten bieten zahlreiche Orte zum Ausruhen und Entspannen. Die KĂŒchenausstattung ist sehr gut (auch Putzmittel, TĂŒcher ...) und ebenso HandtĂŒcher und BettwĂ€sche sind reichlich vorhanden. Direkt vom Haus aus kann man einen Spaziergang machen ĂŒber eine schattige, ruhige Straße. Ein gutes Restaurant - La Collins - ist in 8 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Die 3 Vermieter Andrea, Giacomo und Paolo waren Ă€ußerst hilfsbereit und haben uns tolle Ausflugs- und Restauranttipps gegeben. Vielen Dank - wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefĂŒhlt!

Wundervolles Haus in einmalig ruhiger Lage

Die Lage: das Haus liegt in einem kleinen Weiler in den HĂŒgeln etwas nördlich von Lucca. Lucca und Pisa sind mit dem Auto schnell erreicht und auch Florenz ist nur eine gute Stunde entfernt. Zu den herrlichen MittelmeerstrĂ€nden fĂ€hrt man lediglich 45 Minuten. Wanderwege sind direkt vom Haus aus oder nach ein paar Minuten Fahrt zu erreichen. Einer dieser Wege bot wunderbare Ausblicke auf die Berge und das Mittelmeer. Drei Restaurants befinden sich in unmittelbarer NĂ€he, der nĂ€chste örtliche Supermarkt ist ca. 6km entfernt. Das Haus: das Haus selbst bietet alles, was man fĂŒr einen Urlaub benötigt. Das Wohnzimmer ist hell und freundlich und gewĂ€hrt einen wunderbaren Blick auf die HĂŒgel, ebenso dass große Schlafzimmer. Im Freien stehen zwei Tische auf der Terrasse zur VerfĂŒgung, wovon einer praktischer Weise ĂŒberdacht ist. Im Garten gibt es neben Sitz- und Liegemöbeln eine HĂ€ngematte und einen Tischtennistisch. Die Vermieter: die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und Ă€ußerst hilfsbereit; sie versorgen einen mit guten Tipps und RatschlĂ€gen. Auf unsere Anfragen vor und wĂ€hrend des Aufenthalts erhielten wir jeweils innerhalb von ein paar Minuten die entsprechenden Antworten. Zusammenfassung: unser Aufenthalt im September war einfach wunderbar und erholsam. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir nĂ€chstes Jahr wieder einen Urlaub dort verbringen möchten. Das Haus ist eine absolute Empfehlung.

Peacefull, quiet place in the mountains

Very nice, spacious and charming cityhouse. We were very welcomed by one og the hosts and given an introduction to the house and the environment including suggestions to beaches and restaurants. Questions before and during the stay were promptly replied by the host. Wonderful Lucca and the sandy beaches at Via Reggio are around a half an hour drive away. Casa Afra is a great place to stay for a vacation

Sehr schönes Haus in den Bergen

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit großer Terrasse und Garten und traumhaften Blick ins Tal. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr schön renoviert. Wenn man es mag, ist man sehr freundlich eingebunden in die Nachbarschaft des kleinen Ortes. Die Vermieter sind jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit mit allen Tipps, die man fĂŒr einen erholsamen und entdeckungsreichen Toskanaurlaub benötigt. Sehr charmantes Haus mit super Gastgebern!

Beautiful house on peaceful Tuscan hillside

We stayed for a week in this lovely, spacious house not far from Lucca. The views are spectacular and the house has lots of sitting out space - a table where you can eat outside in all weathers, a rocking chair with a view down the valley, another table in the sun, a hammock and loungers, not to mention a ping pong table for the more active. There is also a very friendly visiting cat. Finding the house was challenging, as you have to negotiate many switchback bends and then find the single track road on which it sits, but once there we felt completely at home. Flight delays meant that we arrived late and in the dark, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a delicious courgette cake (speciality of the region) and a packet of coffee, as well as a bottle of the owners' delicious olive oil. Our week flew by and we spent time in Lucca (markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays), as well as visiting Florence by train from Lucca and the local sights. We had a fabulous meal at Valentino's Restaurant up the hill, which is an easy walk away and offers gargantuan portions of delicious local food. We wished we could have stayed longer and highly recommend Nonna Afra for a peaceful holiday.
