Luxury Glamping w/Resort Access Included, Site 14
NO FLOATPLANE REQUIRED.
When World War II ended, the pilots who had flown missions over Europe pointed their planes north — toward the Quetico-Superior wilderness, the Boundary Waters, and the remote lakes of the Canadian border country. By the late 1940s, Ely, Minnesota was the largest freshwater seaplane base in the United States, with up to 38 flights daily carrying canoeists into the backcountry. A generation hungry for wildness after years of war found it in the deep forest.
This luxury tent captures that spirit, curated with historic Boundary Waters tourism posters and canoe country décor as part of POV Resort's LIVING HISTORY MUSEUM OF CAMPING — AMERICA'S FIRST. Nestled in the trees with a stunning view of the Northwoods, it's the closest thing to the Canadian wilderness without crossing a border.
THE SPACE
Inside: a queen bed and full futon — sleeping 4 comfortably. No appliances or running water inside. A POV Power Station — included with your rate — runs lights, phone chargers, laptops, fans, CPAP machines, and other low-draw devices.
OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR
Private firepit, charcoal grill, hammock, tiki torches, and a picnic table. A shared gas grill station with provided tanks is available in the campground (between sites 8 and 9). Wood swings and hammocks throughout the resort. Edison string lights. Mulch ground cover — no more tracking mud. A propane space heater is provided — bring or purchase 1 lb canisters in our self-serve store (one gets you through the night).
BATHHOUSE
Our new air-conditioned restroom trailer has four private bathrooms with sinks, hot showers, and toilets. Deep cleaned twice daily. Water station on the exterior.
EVERY RESORT AMENITY INCLUDED IN YOUR RATE
One price = everything. No surprise fees. Guests have full use of our sandy beach with easy lake access, paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, hiking trails, game room, general store, and stargazing. Boat rentals and romance packages available.

Either rent one of our boats or bring your own boat or wave runners for fun on the crystal-clear waters of North Twin Lake. ORIENTATION TO GROUNDS
Nature and the deep woods are THE place to be - we are excited to host you at the resort! Coadys' Point of View Lake Resort & Campgrounds is open and following the state's health and safety directive for lodging and camping businesses, working to further ensure your stay is as healthy and as fun as can be! We have purposely kept our campgrounds rustic to minimize disturbing the woods - we took down as few trees as possible to keep the forest intact.
Glamping at POV isn't typical Northwoods seclusion - our campsites are cozy but not as close to each other as an RV park. We feel the amenities on-site and the beauty of the forest and surrounding area more than make up for the snug nature of the campgrounds. With this goal, there isn't enough turnaround for most RVs, travel trailers, and boat trailers in the campgrounds.

PETS
Pets are not allowed in the campgrounds to keep sounds to a minimum.
