Upon arrival, our room wasn’t ready at the scheduled check-in time. The receptionist said the hotel was fully booked and our room would be delayed. We were told we’d receive a text when it was ready, but no text ever came. We finally got into our room about two and a half hours after our scheduled check-in. When we did enter the room, it wasn’t what you’d expect from a 4-star property. The window treatments were ripped, and the bathroom paint was flaking. Disappointing, but not the biggest issue. Around 1:00 AM we were woken up by extremely loud music, and our room reeked of marijuana. We immediately called the front desk. After waiting over an hour, nothing changed and the disturbance continued. With no resolution in sight, we checked out around 2:30 AM. From start to finish this stay was unacceptable. I would not stay here again and strongly recommend others think twice before booking.

Beautiful hotel, super friendly staff, and a very nice location. I had the king bedroom with the jetted hot tub, which was amazing. The room was very clean. My only complaint is that the furniture in both the room and the restaurant is very outdated!! I would have expected more from a luxury hotel. Also, the breakfast at the restaurant was terrible. I asked for toasted bread (you can see in the pictures), but it wasn’t toasted. The side potatoes were also extremely salty and not edible. Other than that, everything else was great. I loved my stay and I love Philadelphia.

Our room was just fine, plentiful quality towels. Pillows were great. We did not eat at the restaurant due to other activities but I did attempt to order some food and the host manager went out of his way to help me make that happens excellent customer service. Great coffee and fruit downstairs at 5 am. We always look for a Kimpton Hotel in our travels because we know they strive for good service and extras.

Dirty room on the floor. No hot water for having a bath. Sink of the bath no working Have been waiting 30 minutes for a coffee machine that was never brought to my room. Had to go to the lobby to ask for this. I haven’t been upgraded and I never received the gift. I am very disappointed and when I share this with the manager, she only said that I was not going to pay the taxes for the hotel. I paid a large amount of money for this and concerning all the issues I asked the manager for a partial refunding. But she did nothing. Now I want to be in touch with the general manager because I’m not going to keep this for myself. A partial refund is the minimum that the hotel could do. The room bathroom has mold and rust on bottom of shower doors and the room was out dated. Cleanness was ok not great. And they over charged me and took out another 105 for nothing. Not happy with this place

I recently stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia by IHG for a birthday celebration, and I was so impressed by all the little touches—like the chocolate treat in our room and the late checkout, which was such a generous gift. After leaving, I realized I had accidentally left behind an item I’ve had since childhood. I didn’t notice until I was already back at school, and both my mom and I called desperately, hoping it hadn’t been thrown away. When I finally reached the right department, they immediately reassured me that they had it. I drove back that night to pick it up, and not only was it returned to me with a smile—they had washed it as well. That meant the world to me. Thank you for going above and beyond. Exceptional service and genuine care!
