All we needed was somewhere to sleep and shower. We weren’t asking for frills, but we still got less than what we asked for. We checked out 2 days early after not being able to sleep through the night due to semi-truck noise, neighbors, and an arrest that took place right outside our window at 1am on a Saturday. Granted we understand budget motels have issues and we were willing to work with the establishment. However when we asked for housekeeping to mop the floors after all of the above mentioned (the floors were dirty from day 1 but we chose to ignore them since it wasn’t THAT big a deal for us) and they didn’t, we decided to check out early. They did not offer a discount for our troubles, though they did refund the two days we didn’t stay. Overall, severely disappointed even though we had low expectations.

Room shown online was different from room initially given. Room had carpet with black stains and smelled. Door jam looked like someone tried to kick in the door. Upon requesting a diiferent room we were given a newly remodeled room, although it was a big improvement the room still showed signs of dirty areas. Seems like the contractors finished their remodel and the staff didnt clean the newly installed flooring.

Try Again When the Construction is Done

Our stay was decent, though there were a few issues that impacted our overall experience. The hotel is undergoing construction, and it was clear that the parking situation was affected by the construction materials scattered around. The room itself felt outdated, and the carpet was noticeably dirty. Several items in the room were either broken or falling apart. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable enough for a night's sleep, the sheets were clean, and there were fresh towels. The area around the hotel was nice. There was a lot to do. However, I was disappointed to see that despite the hotel having other rooms that appeared cleaner and in better condition, it seemed like we were given one of the worst. The area outside our room was cluttered with beds on the floor and construction materials, which didn’t make for a pleasant atmosphere. We just needed a place to sleep, and that’s what we got, but overall, this hotel didn’t meet the expectations.

The lobby staff was great. The bed was comfortable. The location was very close to I-10, which was good. However, I stayed in an unfinished, remodeled room. The floor in my room was filthy. My feet & white socks were always black. They was no bar, for the hangers. There were no shelves, in the shower stall, for soap, shampoo, etc. There was no place to put the toilet paper. The outside property needs a good power washing. Also, of the 3 nights I was there, my room was not cleaned on one of those days. For over $100 a night, I deserved better.
