Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Rooms were given to us dirty on check in- there were cigarette buds, beer bottles, stained dirty sheets on the bed, dirty bathroom.
The room had an awful mould smell.
We asked staff to clean at 2.30pm upon getting the room. No one attended until 5pm. My partner even went to reception to ask at 6pm but they said housekeeping has been notified. No one came until 9pm that night. Reception then said housekeeping is now gone home.
We asked for a room change but staff said that only a manager could authorise this.
We then asked to speak with manager on duty- staff informed us that there are no managers during the day and they start at 11pm.
We waited to speak with the manager who upgraded us to a new room.
We got moved to our new room by 3am that morning.
The new room also was dirty, full of cobwebs, dust and more stained sheets. To top it off there was termites in the room and you could see frass/ turmite dust near the bed and the other furniture. I had trouble breathing that night.
We attempted to book another hotel but given it was new years eve- there were no bookings available and a few that were they were about 3000aud per night.
The hotel refused to acknowledge our concerns and denied a refund.
This hotel is in dire need of a refirb. Its falling apart. It needs a management and staff review.
Don't go here!!!! Other regular hotels are much better and worth your money.
Expedia wasn't able to help us either in this regard.
