From here you can reach Blakey Ridge (6 miles), Danby Dale (10 miles), the Vale of Pickering (16 miles), Hutton-Le-Hole (4 miles), Egton Bridge (8.5 miles) and Farndale (6 miles). You can also explore vibrant market towns such as Helmsley (13.5 miles) and Pickering (10.5 miles), home to the North York Moors Railway which can take you to Whitby via steam train. Heading south you can visit the famous Castle Howard (19.5 miles).
On entering this pretty cottage, which dates back to 1850, you will find yourself in the cosy and welcoming lounge which is an ideal space to relax in at the end of a great day, with comfortable seating, TV and a selection of games and books. There is a table and chairs here where you can enjoy a homecooked meal. Exploring the ground floor further you will find a stylishly designed kitchen which is fully equipped with an oven, microwave and dishwasher. Going upstairs there's a beautiful double-height bedroom. This lovely, light-filled room enjoys views out over Hamer Moor and features a king-size bed and TV. There's also an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower. You will find a washer and dryer in a cupboard upstairs. Please note, the cottage-style stairs are steep and unsuitable for guests with reduced mobility.
Moving outside, the cottage has a small southeast-facing unfenced patio which is accessed via a right-of-way through a neighbouring private garden, and which overlooks a medieval churchyard and the old Priory grounds.
