We had one of the family suites and loved it. The layout works well for a larger group with a sink and mirror outside the bathroom as well as one inside the bathroom. Everything was super clean, but looked a little rough on the outside. Loved having a voucher for breakfast to the pancake place next door instead of a microwaved buffet.

The room itself was decent and generally fine for the stay. Staff was helpful in recommending near by attractions. However, the deposit policy was disappointing and poorly communicated. They charge a $100 security deposit, but only $95 is refunded, claiming the remaining $5 is a credit card transaction fee. This was never mentioned during booking or at check-in, and this is honestly the first time I’ve encountered a hotel keeping part of a security deposit for “processing fees.” If it’s for their security, it shouldn’t come out of the guest’s pocket in advance. If this fee is listed somewhere, I didn’t see it. Transparency matters, and this left a bad impression despite an otherwise okay room.

We arrived on a Saturday night, pretty late. It was buzzing. A lot of people and things going on. Parking was full but the hotel provided an alternate lot, not too far away. The room was good size and was mostly clean but the floors in the room were dirty. We kept sandals and shoes on anytime walking around the room. Octal for the price it was a good deal. The place cleared out good on Sunday and the crowds were less rowdy for the duration of our stay. Nice walking areas around the hotel and everything was close. I think it was their busiest time of the year, as one of the waiters at the pancake house mentioned. Overall no real complaints except for the floors.
