We enjoyed our stay. Well furnished, roomy, and comfortable — nice pool and easy access to the beach. Though there was little t if seaweed, which apparently they don’t clean up, may be because it’s public beach.

Great location, friendly staff, okay condo

The Elements is located in a great location, close to 5th Ave with many restaurants and shops. Across from the hotel is 7-11 in case you want water, beer or snacks. We didn't spend too much time on the beach as there were too much seaweeds. We used the volleyball net a couple times. Overall the location is great and staff was friendly and helpful. The condo is okay, it had a musty smell maybe from the air conditioning. The circuit breaker kept tripping at least 5 times a day, when we had the dryer or hair dryer on. It was annoying. The condo is spacious for 5 of us, with basic kitchen needs like pots/pans, dishes and silverware. We could use a gas outdoor grill rather than the charcoal one provided. We took the taxi to Walmart a couple times (90 pesos each way) to get food. They dropped us off in front of Walmart and when we were done with shopping, there was a line of taxi at the lower level that we took back to the hotel. GH8 is next to the lobby so there was some traffic going back and forth between lobby and their units or the pool. It didn't bother us that much. I think this unit could use a deep cleaning to polish the floor, showers and cabinet doors. It would look much more fresh and maybe get rid of the musty odor. House keeping came by twice when we were there. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Playa, beautiful weather, big pool and great location.

Condo is located in a good location and within a very nice property. The condo is located right off the lobby and does not face the pool area like most of the other condos in the building. Also, it does not get the same sunlight as most of the other condos in the building. Inside, the co do has two good sized bedrooms and two nice bathrooms. The WiFi in the condo worked great for our visit. It is important to know that if you try and run too many appliances at the same time, you will blow the circuit and lose power. Also, we were disappointed that the dishwasher didn’t work. There was a label on it stating “out of order”. When we asked the property management company about fixing it, not only were they unaware it wasn’t working but did nothing to try and fix it. Most every condo in the building has a nice propane bbq grill, but this condo had a charcoal grill which took a long time to get going and was stinky. Half of the patio furniture was either broken or not fully usable because it was on the verge of breaking. This wasn’t great since there were 6 people staying in the condo and only three seats to use on the patio. The people that worked for the building at the front desk were fantastic. They were not affiliated with the property management company at all. If there any issues with the condo you need to contact the property management company, not the building itself. I would stay at the building again however it would be in a different unit that offers appliances that work, better location within the building and had a propane bbq grill. Also, the beach was not usable as the entire coast is having a major issue with the seaweed. It’s all of playa del Carmen, not just this building.

Nice condo!

We enjoyed our stay at Matt's condo. The pool was amazing and my children LOVED it. It was great to be on the ground level. The deck of the condo is very shaded so the condo is fairly dark. However, that wasn't a huge deal for us. The condo was clean and the beds comfortable. The only thing we would change about the condo itself would be to stock it with some basics (salt, pepper, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, etc). The location is great. Close to the quiet end of 5th Ave. Restaurants were close by. The other negative, which is no fault of Matt's or The Elements, is the beach is not the best. There are many boats parked in the water right at the beach, resulting in it often smelling like gas. There is also a great deal of seaweed which also smells. We did not spend any time at the beach at the condo. The seaweed is an issue in the area. Again, this is no fault of Matt's or The Elements, it is just the way it is in Playa.

Beautiful Property

The Elements is amazing! The pool, exercise room and grounds are clean and well kept. Special thanks to "Brenda" at the front desk for all of her help. The condo was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed having the ping pong table to have some contests. You must eat at the Italian restaurant called "Salento" down the street, better than food in Italy!

Beautiful Condo!

My wife and I along with another couple stayed there for 5 nights. Beautiful Condo and nicely decorated. Very clean and well equipped. Condo is located in a great part of town. The entire complex where the Condo is located was immaculately maintained. Right at the beach, and within walking distance to restaurants and 5th. ave. Pool was as great as it looks in the pictures. Well worth the price, will stay there again.

Elements is the place to go...you won't regret it.

We loved everything about Elements. The property is very well maintained and very clean. The pool area which is the main area is beautiful and plenty big. Lots of space to sit and swim around. You will spend a lot of your time there I believe. It is extremely relaxing. Then you also have a private beach area with a bar and plenty of lounge chairs. We were looking for a relaxing place with hardly any noise but also with access to the main areas of the town and this was it for us. You can easily walk into town but it is far enough that you don't have the noise of the bars and restaurants. There is only one restaurant on the beach that depending on where you are staying on the property may have some noise at night. The views of the ocean are amazing and no matter where you are in the property you are like 30 seconds away from the water. The staff is very friendly and relaxed, always willing to help. It is very easy to walk around and there is always people around to help out. There is a nice business lounge with computers but no printers although you can use the reception desk to do that. This place is overall perfect if you are just looking to relax, enjoy the pool and enjoy the ocean. We did plenty of reading, walking and swimming. We had our 15 year old daughter with us and she had a great time just being with us. We love Mexico and the people in Playa make you feel welcome at all times. We are planing on coming back very soon and actually to the same unit. We are very happy with the choice and you will too.
