I wanted to give good review,Hyatt Zilara.I am usually disappointed&my expectations are never met,but at Hyatt they exceeded my expectations:)Shout out to my waiter Jorge at Italian restaurant,wonderful service! I think he will be a manger one day :) also chef Hugo some of the best food I have ever had! THANK YOU for making my trip so much better. take your dinners there.Dinner at buffet was boring &unappealing& a lot of pork.needs more variety Thai restaurant ambiance was off,needs improvement in menu too(any Thai restaurant need to have a curry on the menu at least)my meal was flavorless ,some aspects over cooked and didn't taste Thai??) Also breakfast buffet service was wonderful shout out to Norma, and omelette lady Im sorry forgot your name but anyways she was amazing too. I was very happy staying at this hotel so thank you . Beach was very nice despite lots of seaweed, which could be prevented in many different methods if the hotel invested something towards that issue, I also really liked the size of the property not too big to walk miles to get to beach restaurants or cafe or anything . Only suggestions is , while I understand many guests choose to use private cars(very over priced and rip off) they should provide a shuttle service to airport and for outings so guests have a safe (especially for ladies alone or in groups) and affordable option to be encouraged to go out to see the city , and go on trips wherever. This was the perfect place to escape our busy life of work and our young children. The adults only and smaller sized resort was the reason we came here. We wanted a quieter resort with still plenty of activities and restaurants. The beach was pristine and the service was incredible. All the restaurants were amazing and I’d recommend “Lola Beach” for a quiet night cap and listening to the waves of the ocean at night. The main hotel buffet is really the only option for a full breakfast other than room service but it has everything you could want. I’d recommend sticking to the other restaurants for your other meals. The drinks were amazing and you never had to go very far to have one on hand. I’d recommend the Mezcalita Tamarindo! The room and service was amazing even though we spent very little time in there. The staff all go out of their way to help you and make your stay unforgettable. They have to do their little sales pitch right off the bat but after that they won’t bother you. Lastly, I’d recommend getting the bracelet with your room key programmed into it. You truly can walk around with nothing in your pockets then. Can’t wait to come back!!

The swim up pool was nice....just need to give verbal warnings about the Coati. They're not aggressive....but...who would know that when you're surrounded by about 10 of them....food hunting. Outside of that....had an excellent time.

The all inclusive dining was below average quality with limited choices for room service. No beef or chicken tacos, nachos chips are too thick and hard. Strawberry tart is too hard. Hamburgers were tasteless and fries were greasy. I did not like the taste and texture of the fish or pork tacos.

Everybody was very warm and welcoming. All waiters made you feel at home. The beach access was always clean and walkable. There was never a lack of available sun beds. Jorge and Eloy at the swim-up bar were always there with a smile. The restaurant options were good especially the asian one. The italian cuisine one (capri grill) left us a little bit underwhelmed. (I.e.: the beef carpaccio was under seasoned. Lola's it depended on who was cooking that day, I guess. The first time we went everything was well seasoned and had a good service, but the second time, everything was bland and under-seasoned. We also saw people getting served before us, even though they came in later.

An amazing stay at Hyatt Zilara! The staff make it extra special as soon as you get there and the rooms are beautiful and very nice. Beds and linens were comfortable, loved the double sink bathrooms and shower excellent. Main pool is super relaxing while also filled with activity that lets you decide from a quieter to more activity side. Servers at the pool are on it and bar made fantastic drinks. Couldn’t have asked for a better beach. Great food options and lovely room service too! We will be going back very soon!

If I could give more stars I would. We did a lot of research before selecting this one. This exceeded all expectations. The resort was impeccably run. The quality of the food and drinks amazing. The beach was beautiful, clean and relaxing. We enjoyed a cabana one day by the pool. It was our first time at an all inclusive but from speaking with other guests this scored high on the list. The spa was also high quality and we loved our couples massage. But most importantly the staff is 10 star. Thank you ANTONIO, Irving, Alexander, Norma, Miguel, Adolfo, all the bartenders at the social, and really everyone who worked there. Just too many to mention. Your welcoming kindness did not go unnoticed. And of course the Expedia VIP access was appreciated. Thanks for a great stay.

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya is a resort on the smaller side, but still offered lots. The activities they had planned were actually lots of fun and very engaging. Nothing ever felt like it was crowded and the resort had some great food options. The staff throughout the hotel were amazing and very nice. Overall, I think this resort checked all of our boxes and we had an amazing vacation here, and will recommend this to others that are looking into this property.
