How close is Lake Escape In the Poconos to downtown Pocono Lake?
We have stayed at Locust Lake before. First time at this property. The location was perfect, right on the water. Great dock, two great kayaks. The peddle boat looked nice but we couldnât get it to work. Lots of life jackets. Easy access into the water and we caught lots of fish from the dock. It is also within walking distance to the public docks where we caught tons of bass and crappies and pan fish. The beach is wonderful and they added some new activities on the water for the kids to play onâŠvery cool. The house actually had four good sized bedrooms. Our daughter and friend stayed in the bunk room and we stayed in the room with attached bath. Lots of extra towels and sheets and blankets available as well as some extra beach towels which was nice. The deck had a wonderful view with very nice furniture to use. The grill looked clean and in good order although we didnât use it. The kitchen had everything we needed although some of the pans could use some updating. The house was clean, but could use a good dusting. The spiral staircase inside was tough to use. We were able to navigate it successfully. But I would imagine someone with young children or mobility problems might find it quite challenging. You can use the deck stairs to get down and then go in the main door. All in all, we loved our stay and would be happy to go back again. The owner was responsive to our messages and very nice to deal with. Thanks for having us!
Great location with a nice beach area across the lake that you can kayak to. Successful fishing from the dock (panfish). House is great with plenty for the kids. More amenities and supplies than expected.Owner had great communication.
