Avis pour Lakefront w Sauna/Hot Tub/Boats/Beach/Firepit/Pool table,close to Kalahari & Ski
This place is right up on the water. I can only imagine the views in the spring and summer. We came for my birthday in Jan, and the temps were brutal! Like 0 ! Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to enjoy ourselves outside and had to leave a day earlier. The place is clean, plenty of towels, full-size shampoo, bodywash, and conditioner, which for some of us is a bonus. We really didn't have any issues, and we rent a lot each year up the Poconos.
House is nice for what it is, although price is high for area. Itâs an old lake house, perfect if you have kids and hanging by the lake. The view is great, and dock is good for fishing. The kayaks and canoe are fun to use, and pool table is a plus. There are some things that arenât great, like faucet in bathtub has been re-glued several times, access panel in bathroom falls off of the wall. Deck seems like a safety hazard, and grill doesnât work great. Kitchen is stocked with supplies. Lots of firewood! Would have been great for dogs, except dog age restrictions were given after we booked, so we werenât able to bring them. Hot tub water was gross, like its never serviced and smells. Itâs stated on agreement that itâs serviced, but we have a hot tub and can tell the water looks as if never drained-thick and filmy. There are also notes taped around with instructions to dump chlorine into it, showing thatâs how they care for it. Not fair if you wanted to use it. We didnât. There are strict rules in agreement about noise, but at 7:30am on Thursday, a roof is being fixed next door, as well as a nearby highway that is so loud at night that you canât hear someone sitting next to you talk. Wi-Fi is weak. If youâre here to be outdoors and donât care, then youâre fine. If you need it for something important, you may have trouble. Community lake/beach was closed for our entire visit, with no explanation or warning given. So, double-check that. Owner responds to texts.
This house was awesome! From the moment you pull up you can see the lake, it was a quiet neighborhood, with breathtaking views and sunsets. The deck outside hosted a few meals and it was spacious. The house was comfortable and had two living spaces which was great for the kids. The beds were comfy and there were tons of soft, cozy blankets. There was a tea kettle which I thought gave it a personal homey touch. The owners were awesome with communication and checked it to make sure we were having a great time. We had a perviously disheartening experience last year with a rental, so this really uplifted us and we all agreed this was one of the best vacations we had, there is so much to do and explore. We will definitely be back, and to be transparent the house is exactly as described ,again a refreshing piece of transparency when trying to search for a place that you want to rent and stay at.
We enjoyed our one week stay at this lakefront property. The house comes with all the amenities that made our stay comfortable although the furniture could use some upgrade. The lake was clean and we had spectacular sunset views. The host was very attentive. I would recommend this place for a small group looking for a week of r and r.
his property was a huge disappointment and didnât match the listing at all. The bedrooms were cramped, with little space to move, and there was barely any storage except for small nightstandsâmost of our belongings had to be left on the floor. One of the King mattresses felt like sleeping on concrete, and the trundle bed on the main floor couldnât be used if someone was on the top bunk because there was no room for the ladder. The house was missing basic amenities, like hooks for towels (only two in the bathroom and none in the bedrooms) and essentials like paper towels, trash bags, and aluminum foil. The hand towels were stained and worn. There were no rugs anywhere, so the floors became wet and slippery after coming in from the outside. The common areas were just as disappointing. The living room, which had a loveseat and sofa were uncomfortable and too small for our group of 8 adults, and the furniture didnât match the photos. The WiFi barely worked. Some people in our group were not able to access the internet on their phones because the WiFi was so bad. There is 5G but only so many people and devices can connect to it. 2 out of 3 TVs did not work. They are outdated. We know how to connect to the various streaming networks but we continued to get error messages. The basement had a heater with an open flame hanging on the wall outside a bedroom, it had a grate over it but would burn someone if they touched it and felt unsafe. The basement also didnât have the bar shown
We enjoyed our stay very much. The host was very communicative and the property had many more ammenities and supplies than most VRBOs. The main drawback for us was state rt 380 is very close and loud.whhear atbhours.
Had a wonderful time in the poconos! The house was very accommodating and we had a wonderful weekend hanging by the outdoor fire while it was snowing. Overall just a great time !!!
House was much smaller than looked in pictures. Basement was very musty smelling even with dehumidifier running. Needs better ventilation. Windows open helped but needed to be closed when rained. Bedrooms with bunk beds were completely filled with bed. No room for much else. Water has a very metal smell. Whenever used shower there would b a sewer smell in bathroom afterwards. Needed to always burn a candle. Wash cloths need to be replaced horribly stained probably from the hard water. Loved the lake and the pool. House could use a few repairs but cozy, clean and had everything we needed. Lovely neighborhood. Nice neighbors. Like walking around the lake. Kayaking was so much fun. Property manager was a great communicator.
Plenty of comfortable places to sleep. Perfect beach/lake access for littles ones to play and adults to hang. Easily able to get a hold of the owners with quick response times. Would definitely recommend !
Host was very very nice and responsive. The grill didnât work and they had a new one brought over within hours, really great service. It is a little smaller inside then what is seems online but the outdoor area makes up for it. We had a ton of fun fishing and using the watercraft. I would certainly recommend this place.
The view of the lake was stunning, the house had everything we needed. Sharon gave us all the instructions and it was so easy to comunicate with her about anything. We loved our weekend we had so much fun. Highly recommend!
Our stay was everything that we needed and then some. Starting with the backyard and walkway to the lake was amazing. Had great conversations and fun by the fire pit. Also took family pictures on the doc with that lake background. The house was perfect for gathering and game play in the basement common space. Rooms are on the smaller side and with no dressers had to life out of our bags for the days we were there but thatâs different for everyone. Not that big of a deal. Nice older lake house that helped us create lasting memories. Thank you !
The house has an amazing view. We utilized everything they had to offer. The sauna was a great addition to the amenities that this property offers. My husband, myself, and two teenage boys truly enjoyed boating on the lake, having fires, fishing, and going in the hot tub. So much to offer and the house was exactly as pictured. Easy check in and out process. Thank you.
We enjoyed staying at this property over the last winter break. The property is in an ideal location (just 1.5 hr drive from northern NJ and close to Camelback/Big Boulder mountains), has a great view of the lake and a wide variety of amenities including hot tub, sauna, ping pong/pool table, etc. Last but not least, itâs owned by a friendly host, Sharon. We will most likely visit this property again, if itâs available.
Our family had a wonderful week at this lakefront house! We enjoyed the various amenities and there was something for everyone. Highlights were time relaxing in the hot tub while looking out over the lake, enjoying time by the fire pit, a whole lot of paddling, and a marathon game of Jenga. The kitchen was well-stocked and the young ones enjoyed the selection of games! The owner is also very responsive and checked in to make sure we didn't have any issues or questions. ....And believe the hype about the sunsets over the lake. They're gorgeous. :)
Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Had an absolutely wonderful time this weekend at this home in the Poconos !! From paddle boating and kayaking to fishing and sitting by the fire pit to just chilling on the deck with family⊠everything was just as we expected !! The entire experience was fantastic from the beginning all the way through thanks to a very helpful and gracious host. Very sweet and comfortable home with plenty of fun things to do !! I look forward to renting again !!
Outdoors - lots of fun things to do. Although Fall weather, the kids n their parents did get out on the one paddle boat working (the other was missing a rudder). They also fished from the pier n went out with their Dad in a canoe to fish. The 12 year old was quite sad to have to leave. He enjoyed it immensely. There were life jackets available so that made it easier. (The lease said the shed would be locked - it was not. No lock to be seen.) We made good use of the fire pit relaxing n making sâmores n of the hot tub one evening. The outside experience was really special; the lake is beautiful. TY. Inside - the house was ok but needs improvements, especially the plumbing. The water pressure was very limited upstairs. We could not bathe the baby in the tub n wash dishes, nor could the showers both be on at the same time. It needs an upgrade. There were plenty of bedrooms; beds were comfortable n warm. Owners might want to consider combining two bedrooms upstairs n making an en suite. Bathroom fixtures were clean as were the counters n stove in the small kitchen. Donât believe the kitchen sink has seen cleanser in a very long time as it is stained. And, the floors need a thorough cleaning. The downstairs offered a sauna, a pool table and board games. We made use of all of it. Furniture well usedâŠ
This house was perfect for our family vacation! The property was well maintained and had so many amenities to choose from! My boys(ages 12&13) loved the paddle boat, rafts and pool table! The hosts were really attentive and quickly responded to any questions. The house was clean and very comfortable. We hope to come back next year!
