The couple who run this place, are very friendly. The whole place is in good order, the room we had was nice and comfortable with a nice shower. The food we had was excellent. We would stay here again.

A warm welcome all round

Lovely inn, beautifully decorated, two friendly dogs, friendly staff, friendly locals (who didn't mind that we won the pub quiz), great breakfasts, well cooked dinners... My only quibble was that the mattress was too soft for my poor bad back (but would suit plenty of others).

Overnight

We used the pub as we were visiting family the next day & live in Devon. The room was nice, well fitted out & comfortable. The atmosphere was almost like staying at someone's house, very relaxed & cosy. The food was really good, I recommend the blue cheese burger! Breakfast was excellent although I'd have like an option of cereal & orange juice in addition to the menu options. Staff were excellent & very helpful, although top marks go to Guiness, the pup cockapoo, who is an absolute star!!! We'll definitely return when we next come up to Sussex.

A nights stay at the Long Man Inn

I stayed for one night and really loved my time there. The room was so lovely and clean, bathroom was beautiful. I slept so well and then had a yummy breakfast! Thank you! Would recommend!

A proper pub with rooms. Friendly staff and a clean comfortable room made for a lovely stay after walking the South Downs way from Eastbourne. Evening meal was very nice and breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic night away.

Stayed for a business trip. Everyone was very friendly, ended up staying up too late drinking the local ale with the regulars. Food was amazing the rooms are comfortable and everything seems new. Will stay again.

Nice clean place to stay.The double bed was a bit small and the mattress was soft so struggled to sleep well . Breakfast on Sunday was served at 830 ,felt that was a bit. Apart from that great place to stay

Great country inn

Great stay at the Long Man Inn. Very quiet location, great hosts and staff, brilliant food and beer. A great redevelopment of the original building into a pub with great rooms.
