Fantastic breakfast, great service. Comfortable bed. Though we had to pay for parking, the valet service was exceptional. Climate control was very comfortable. Food in the bar was great too.

The staff are very friendly and attentive. There were some added services such as water bottles in our car every day, and turn down service. However, I was disappointed in the bed choices (only double or twin) for what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. This was not luxurious at all. Also, the toilet paper was like sand paper. It’s hard to believe they could not source something better. Breakfast was mediocre, with some items not being hot, or fresh.

Our stay at the Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and even assisted with valet parking, which made everything so easy. Everyone we met was professional and friendly, but a special thank you goes to Ines at the front desk. She welcomed us with a smile, helped us get settled, and went above and beyond to arrange restaurant reservations and recommend things to see and do around the island. We also had the pleasure of chatting with the manager, who was extremely personable and genuinely interested in making sure guests were enjoying their stay. His approachability and warm conversation added to the overall welcoming atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable, and the view overlooking the marina was absolutely beautiful — waking up to it each morning was unforgettable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety, and the hotel’s location made it easy to explore Ponta Delgada on foot. This was my first time in São Miguel, and it will definitely not be my last. We would absolutely choose this hotel again when we return.
