Disappointed

We booked this property for a week and stayed only one night due to the condition of the home. Upon walking in we found rotting deck boards, exposed nails and the furniture and rugs were tattered and stained. The enclosed portion of the deck had food and stains to the point where we would not consider sitting or walking barefoot. Once inside we found the closet doors were damaged, walls needed painted and the cabinets had badly aged and in need of major repair or replacement due to age and water damage in the sink base. Backsplash behind the kitchen sink was water damaged and stained. Furniture was stained, there was mold in the shower and the laundry was located outside, in a room under the house that has an obvious 4” gap in the door frame. This home was badly misrepresented and the listing photos in no way matched the current condition. We stayed only one night, during which we were on the phone with VRBO trying to determine a course of action, and were advised to find a new place, which we did. We are still awaiting reimbursement and are out the money for this home that we did not stay in, plus the one we actually stayed in.

Family Vacation 2024

This was a family vacation for my husband and me and our two sons and theirs families. Our 6 grandchildren who range in ages 9 months to 7 years old. The house was perfect especially the pool and the privacy for the children. The kids loved the bunk room. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed as we cook meals. We do not have anything negative to say. It was a perfect vacation. Chris and Lasinda were perfect host.

Wonderful Escape

We booked this house last minute and were pleasantly surprised! There were 4 adults on this trip and the house was perfect for us. We loved that there were 2 full-size refrigerators in the unit. The pool was wonderful. Keep in mind that due to the way the house and pool sit, the pool will be in the sun all day and tends to get quite warm for the late afternoon swims. The house has a huge screened-in porch which is where we spent most of our time. When the porch got too hot due to the afternoon sun, we moved our seating area below the house into the shade. We did have to reach out to the homeowner once and he was quick to respond and address/fix the minor issue. We also had to reach out to the local property manager with a door lock issue and he was also very kind and quick to help. Beach access was a bit of a walk but on Cape San Blas, this is very common. We would stay here again with no question.

Great stay

This property worked perfect for our family to make the most of a visit to Cape San Blas. It was close enough to the beach that we could go back and forth from the beach to the pool and the house for meals. Kids were able to ride bikes to the state park. We had enough parking to bring the boat and quickly access the boat ramp at the state park. Kitchen was well stocked with all the tools to make meals at home. I see us staying here again.

Too far from beach if you have kids. Needs a deep cleaning. Under sofas and beds, headboards have sand in them. We didnt have much luck with beach. Double red flags everyday. Murky water. No internet for 5 days. Cant take showers but for 3 or 4 people. Alarms go off if you do.

Refreshing and Quiet

This was our first stay at Cape San Blas, and we will definitely be back! Our rental was very clean and comfortable for our family of seven. The quiet surroundings allowed for a very restful week of enjoying the weather by the Gulf or the pool.

House was not clean

The shower had mold and the drain was badly clogged. Took 5 days to fix. Shower curtain had mildew. Towels were soured. Old food left in the pantry with rotten potatoes. Kitchen sink was nasty with mildew. Nasty, stinky sponge left at kitchen sink. Pool had not been cleaned. Guy came to put chemicals in pool but never vacuumed pool. Sheets were dirty and had sand and hair on them. When they replaced some of the sheets, they were ripped and wouldn’t stay in the bed. When I spoke to the gentleman in charge he was very defensive and really did not care. We paid a lot of money for the week and the least you expect if for a place to be clean. We will never use them again.

Our first time won't be our last time

This was our first trip to Cape San Blas and we had a fantastic time. The house was in great shape and even with 11 in our party we all had enough space to spread out. The screened in front porch is great for gathering for meals and the room on the first level worked out great as well. If you're looking for relaxed vacation with the best sunsets I've ever seen, this is the place for you.

Spring break

We love the Cape! This property is in a great location. It had plenty of space for our group of 6 adults and 3 teenagers. We loved the huge screened deck. Property managers are very sweet and were prompt at answering our questions.
