Enjoyed our stay at Cape Sundance on Cape San Blas. This home is gorgeous, comfortable and well appointed. Our group loved hanging out on the screened in porches and really enjoyed the pool. We usually had the pool to ourselves. Jubilation is a quiet, calm neighborhood. Very relaxing vacation in a beautiful, less trafficked area of the Florida coast. Highly recommend!
The location was perfect. Being close to both the pool and beach made trips with kids and beach gear quick and easy. The beach itself was incredible. We saw dolphins, baby sharks, round stingrays, and even a loggerhead sea turtle right from the shore. There were tons of shells to collect, which the kids loved, especially during low tide. I also recommend walking west toward the end of the Cape by the protected nature area. Itâs beautiful and quiet, but watch for vehicles that drive along the beach to access the fishing spots. The house could definitely use some maintenance. Many of the towel racks, toilet paper holders, and cabinet handles were loose or wobbly. It wouldnât take much more than a screwdriver and a half hour to tighten everything up, which would make the home feel more put together. The kitchen was minimally stocked. If you plan to cook, bring your own pans, baking sheets, and essentials. We also discovered some of the plates werenât microwave-safe after a few days. Worse, the dishwasher arms were covered in mold, which I had to clean myself. Even after that, the dishes never came out dry, so we hand-dried everything.Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but some minor fixes and better kitchen supplies would make the home much more comfortable.
Wonderful house with a partial gulf view from the upper deck. House is missing some essentials, likely broken or lost over time â no sheet pans, not nearly enough plates or glassware. The house sleeps 12, but there arenât 12 dinner plates, and glassware / wine glasses are sparse. Love the porches, a little short on furniture for them though. Propane tank went out while we were cooking with no back up. Thereâs also no readily available foot wash, thereâs a single spigot way down the side of the house, and the one at the pool was not installed, so it made things very difficult to rinse. No Hose either. While the neighborhood is lovely, and the beach easily accessible, the full-time neighbors are pretty awful. Constantly complaining, spouting rules that are posted NOWHERE. If you want people to follow rules for dogs, gear on the beach, etc., make sure you POST them. Generally, a whole bunch of angry curmudgeons. The pool was closed all week until it finally opened on Thursday. Evidently the HOA dropped the ball on maintaining the pool deck and the County shut down the pool.
