Parking was difficult and cramped, plus they charged extra for parking. The first meal we had was pizza which was not what we expected, quite greasy, breakfast buffet was good with lots of options. Room was fine, pretty clean.

Reception and Restaurant are awful.

The hotel is in a good location and I found it to be spotless. The housekeeping staff were cheerful and friendly. Unfortunately I can't say the same for reception. They were so unwelcoming it made me feel really uncomfortable. They gave my daughter a key to someone else's room. The restaurant was chaotic. We ordered dinner one night. My husband's dinner was nice but my meal failed to arrive despite being asked a couple of times. They did refund the charge.

Nice dining options on site but hotel room was very dated with poor lighting. There wasn't any artwork in the room, only 4 screws where something used to hang. The phone has turned yellow with age, very limited lighting with 5watt bulbs and bathroom sink is the same size as on airplanes with absolutely NO room or counter space to put a toiletry bag down. Extremely overpriced hotel for how dated the rooms are. The woman at check-in wasn't very pleasant but the staff after check-in were much more pleasant and helpful.

Holiday inn express portsmouth The bed linen was a disaster, dried blood stains on the matress cover. Yes, dried blood stains. The bathroom towels had the same issue. We spoke to the front desk who stated its cleaned outside but the person making the bed should have seen it. Not good

Ok stay could have been better

Hotel check in was good and staff were friendly and helpful. Corridor to room had a bad smell coming from the toilets. The room was an accessible room with accessible toilet/shower. Very dark and not much natural light. We were disappointed to be put in an accessible room. Breakfast was good and a good choice selection. Overall the stay was ok room was not worth what we paid.

I liked the location of the hotel,the room was standard size and was very small and the manager said all the rooms were the same size which was not true as I saw the room directly across from my room and it was bigger. The staff was very friendly, the food was bland.
