The kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner electric stove, a refrigerator with freezer, a microwave, and other small appliances.
Lovely apartment with great views. Most comfortable beds and best bathroom of all the places I stayed in Italy. Yes, there are 100 steps to the apartment but it is the Amalfi Coast - that's what you get! Managers were lovely - very helpful but not intrusive.
Giovanni was the best host. He was so helpful with all of our requests. He was available at all times and his recommendations were as good as he said they would be and sometimes even better.
There are a few things that I would point out. There is a road and 100 steps that you need to climb up to get to the property. So be aware especially when itâs very hot and humid. We did it multiple times a day and were used to it a couple days in. The AC in the unit worked well which was a relief. Second, the WiFi only works well on the patio. Which is fine except on hot summer evenings when the mosquitoes are out in full force. Pack bug spray. Third, it didnât matter to us but the TV only has a few channels and they are in Italian. We didnât watch TV and spent a lot of time out exploring so we didnât need It.
The town of Praiano is so much less crowded. People in town are friendly and hardworking. It has great restaurants and is in the middle of Amalfi and Positano on the bus line. When we were there, the Festival of Lights was going on. The last night they had fireworks and we watched it from our patio. Amazing!
The Path of the Gods is accessible from Praiano. There are so so so many steps but it was worth the picturesque views once there.
We would definitely stay again just not in August.
We absolutely loved our stay. We picked the town out of a hat more or less and we hit the jackpot. Praiano is a smaller town on the coast and not flooded with people. There were great restaurants and a beautiful walk down to the beach. The Inn was great. The view can't be beat. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with 4 people. Both bedrooms had their own bath, which was so nice. We each had our own entrance to the shared veranda and separate entrance to the shared kitchen area. Our hosts were wonderful. They greeted us with fresh lemonade and lemon cake from the trees on the property. Took time to point out things on a map for us and get us settled. If we return to the coast we'll certainly stay here again.
There are not enough wonderful words I can use to describe this beautiful property. The hosts were gracious/welcoming/warm/helpful/loving, the property was enchanting, the view and landscape was dreamy, the quiet town of Praiano was delightfully not touristy, and everything you want was a close walk- albeit involved a lot of stairs.
I would recommend Calante Luna to my best friends and family.
Great location, great accommodation and wonderful hosts.
We were in Amalfi in what we thought was a slower season. But it was still very busy. Positano and Amalfi were overrun with people, but Praiano while busy, was much better. Overnight we had a beautiful sunset view down the Amalfi Coast to Capri from our balcony, or from the cold tub that was there. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. It is hard to avoid steps in any accommodation in Amalfi, so the 107 steps up to our accommodation was not too bad. Helped to get us in shape for all of the other walking. The Path of the Gods is a must do.
Traffic is unbelievable. We did drive, but it should only be done by good drivers.
We stayed in a well-equipped and stylishly decorated apartment, ideal for a family of 4 or for 2 couples. One of the 2 master bedrooms; both with sea view, also boasts a jacuzzi. The view over Capri and Positano is amazing and made our breakfasts and dinners at home truly unforgettable. We were even able to watch the August 15th fireworks over Positano comfortably from our garden! The pretty Gavitella beach is only 15 minutes walk away - just make sure you are ready to walk up and down a lot of stairs! The bus stop is also very near for trips to Amalfi, Positano and other villages and beaches along the coast. The only issue is parking, which is extremely difficult to find. The host was very friendly - both with our family and with our dog.
The house was extremely clean and comfortable, with air con and feather pillows and very comfy beds. The view is incredible and everyone is very helpful and kind. The town is very sweet and has lots going on, but be warned about the steps! if you find walking up and down steps all day difficult, its not ideal, but the positives definitely outweigh that only small negative.
