Anini Beach: Snorkeling & Sea Turtle Tips: Anini Beach is home to Hawaiiâs longest and widest fringing reef, creating a vast, shallow lagoon that is nearly always calmâperfect for beginner snorkelers and spotting our beloved Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles (Honu). Turtles are most often found in the shallow, sandy areas where they graze on lush sea grass. For the best visibility, go in the early morning before the winds pick up and stir the sediment. âą Sea turtles are a threatened species and are strictly protected by state and federal law. To ensure they stay safe (and you avoid fines up to $1,500+) always stay at least 10 feet (3 meters) away from turtles, whether in the water or on the sand. Never touch, feed, or chase a turtle. If one swims toward you, stay still and let it pass. âą Always use Reef-Safe Sunscreen. Traditional sunscreens contain chemicals that bleach and kill the delicate coral reef. âą Safety First: Stay within the reef, in the protected shallow areas. And never snorkel alone, always have a buddy and keep an eye on each other.

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was somewhat unhappy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Reviewer Comments:
Lovely home in quiet area. Path to beach steep, slippery and not swimmable (strong current). Pool small, mostly shaded. No recycling. Good for a quiet stay, but a little 'remote' for a family trip (need to drive to most activities).

Reviewer Comments:
The house was as described in the listing. If you used to air conditioning you might want to think twice. Our daughter and son inlaw were in the downstairs bedroom and said nights only got down to 78 in their room. Other than that the place was great.
Our family loved this rental, but did struggle quite a bit to be comfortable without air conditioning. The condo was a muggy 80 degrees at its coolest and usually 85 degrees, which was especially challenging for me (pregnant) and our toddler. The listing did mention no AC when I booked it, but I must have overlooked it. Overall, location was great and we had everything we needed inside to make our own meals, do laundry, etc. Beach gear was also included, which was super convenient for us. Highly recommend if youâre someone who can still thrive in a warm and humid climate!
