Location
The 4.5-hectare island is located 380 km from Arlanda Airport. It lies in the middle of Lake Havern in central Sweden, 26 km from the centre of Ytterhogdal. The lake is 30 km long and very wide. There is a supermarket in Ytterhogdal with everything you need. There is also a public swimming pool there with a hot shower and a sauna, which is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Accommodations and Amenities
The small house was built on the island in 1936 and offers timeless comfort. The amenities are simple—but in return, you get a truly unique experience of nature, plenty of peace and quiet, and a welcome break from everyday life.

Ground Floor: Cozy and furnished with lots of wood: living room with a fireplace and dining table, sleeper sofa, high-quality hi-fi system with record player, open kitchen (gas stove, 4 burners), access to the porch, refrigerator.

Upper Floor: (Steep staircase) sloped, open loft, ceiling height 120 cm, beds for 4 people with high-quality mattresses for a restful night’s sleep.

The amenities are rustic: No running water, outhouse approx. 30 m from the house, covered patio, patio furniture, refrigerator without freezer, non-smoking house, no shower, bathtub on the beach, parking on the mainland, approx. 500 m rowing distance to the island, 4G/LTE, charging options for cell phones, laptops, and cameras.


Island and Lake
To the south of the house lies a swimming cove approximately 400 metres wide, facing the sunny side, with a sandy beach and a stunning, expansive view of the lake. To the west and east are the woods. There are slightly elevated rocks there offering a unique view across the lake. To the north is a fire pit.

There are plenty of ways for adults and children alike to spice up their day with little adventures: reading, walking, swimming in the lake, fishing, boating, building a fire, and more.
