Lovely villa for a party of 5. Easy to access the nearby beach and awesome that we also got to use all the Port of Calls hotel facilities such as pool and gym and enjoy their nightly activities. Very nice staff. Only recommendations are to let guests know in advance they should rent a car if they want to see T&cs, and to offer snorkel gear in the Villa (masks and snorkels).
A hidden gem in the heart of Grace Bay. On an island feeling the boom of development since our last stay nearly 20 years earlier, Ports of Call is a gentle throwback among the seemingly bigger more modern resorts but donât let it fool you. Beyond its unassuming exterior youâll find a calm oasis with wonderful friendly staff and lots to do. When we arrived early we headed to the bar where we were welcomed by a friendly bar tender and prices that were more reasonable than most on the island. Our Villa was beautiful, clean and exactly what our group of 5 needed. Walking distance to the beach and some of the best dining options on Grace Bay, an enjoyable veranda to escape the midday sun or rain clouds and semi private pool. The beds and furniture were comfortable clean and welcoming. The washer and dryer were also a bonus for packing light. The continental breakfast was adequate to start our day and the pastry shop, grocery store and coffee shops just around the corner or down the street were an added treat and convenience. The beach staff was equally friendly and attentive with finding open lounges and umbrellas. The outdoor pool table and ping pong were great. We also met an honest and courteous cab driver, Skipper. We had debated whether a rental car was necessary after the first cab ride from the airport, but once we were introduced to Skipper at Bay Bistro we knew we didnât need one. All in all we highly recommend a stay at the Villas at Ports of Call.
This is a nice option if you are on a budget. Hotels directly on the beach are very expensive. You can save some $$ if you are willing to walk 5 minutes to the beach. The regular rooms are a clean and simple budget option. The Villas are very nice. They were just renovated, and a really nice space for a group. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we enjoyed the screened in patio. Three bedroom Villa less that the cost of a single hotel room at one of the beachfront hotels. The pool is nothing special, but who needs the pool when you have the turquios waters and amazing beach of Grace Bay. Breakfast included, but it's simple and mediocre at best.
