Sonoran Sky 405 Cozy Retreat Enticing Ocean Front Condo

Sonoran Sky is the best place to spend your vacation or weekend. You can have a great cookout on our 3rd floor BBQ areas, fully equipped fitness room, a conference room, full-service spa, we have a convenience store, oceanfront hammocks next to the pool bar.

This beautiful condo is located on the 4th floor of the resort. This condo can accommodate up to 4 guests; two in the bedroom and two on the pull out sofa in the living room. The living room of this unit has walls that are finished in soft yellow Venetian plaster. The sofa is shiny tan leather and the pillows are shades of beige, khaki, and tan. Off to the side, there is a seafoam green armchair and in the center, there is a glass top coffee table and a queen size sofa sleeper. Beneath the coffee table, there is a handwoven Oriental rug in a floral pattern. Above the sofa, there is a large mirror that makes the room feel very open and spacious. A sliding glass arcadia door will take you out to your private terrace where you can enjoy the sunrise or sunset over the Sea of Cortez. The living room has a flat-screen plasma TV, DVD, VCR, and a stereo system. The condo has no formal dining room but there is seating on the bar stools butted up to the wet bar off the kitchen. The kitchen has dark wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. This kitchen has all the items you could possibly need to prepare a five-star meal. The master bedroom has a dark wood furniture suite which includes a king-size bed, bedside tables, dresser, and an attached mirror. In the corner of the room, there is a wall-mounted TV with a DVD player. The room has a window with a view of the ocean. The master bathroom has a single sink vanity and a walk-in shower made of marble. One wall of the bathroom is painted bright orange and the others are a Swiss coffee white.

The patio is furnished with a dining table set to seat four people. This is the perfect place to relax with a delicious drink, and enjoy the amazing sunsets that only can be seen at our Sea Of Cortez.
NOTE: The balcony BBQ do not work, there is a designated area on the 3rd floor for the use of charcoal grills and playground for small children. (Charcoal is not included, for sale at convenience store).

My Sonoran experience

The Sonoran was a immaculate kept property, very pleasant, comfortable, room was clean and fairly well supplied, staff very pleasant and helpful, security was very reassuring and pleasant reminders on mask wearing and being single I felt very safe. Good stay!

Our stay at Sonora’s Sky was very peaceful. The unit we rented was very convenient for all of our needs. This unit is stocked and has everything you need, but is quite outdated with the squeaky furniture through out the unit.

Everything was great. The extra blankets were useful. The amount of towels and quality were sufficient. There was the smell of cigarette smoke from an adjacent room but other than that, we enjoyed it very much and look forward to visiting Sonoran sky again.

First night the patio door doesn’t lock it’s broken second the bathroom ceiling starts leaking they “fix it and the very next night it’s leaking again” super inconvenient. The view was awesome though.

We really enjoyed our stay-the room was clean and the rooms were emptied of trash several times. The shower provided “lukewarm” water but we did not report the issue. The furnishings were a little “musty”-either from humidity or just in need of replacement. We really liked the view and amenities at the resort. The fitness center did not have A/C and several machines did not work so it was limiting when multiple guests were using the facilities.

The unit was great and beautiful. The entire week we had no hot water even after the maintenance was sent up. I reached out 4 out of the 7 days we were there. I sent an email and received a response but no follow up even after I stated we still had no hot water.

Suggestions

You should leave a note on the counter with the WiFi password as well as check out instructions, like what to do with the keys upon checkout etc It would also be nice to have items supplied like salt and pepper and coffee and creamer. These are inexpensive items that are appreciated when people are on vacation. We have stayed at other units at this property where all these things were provided. The welcome letter could also state that you provide beach towels. We didn’t see them til our last day since they were in a bottom bathroom drawer we never used. It would have been nice to know.

Great Stay-Amazing View

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The weather was unusually cold and wet, but the condo was very inviting. The view from the patio is awesome and we were able to enjoy both sunrises and sunsets! A couple of small maintenance issues, but they were quickly addressed by the staff. Overall the property is well maintained and the staff is quite friendly. Great size for a couple, doable but cramped for 4.

My girlfriend and I came down for my buddies wedding which was held at the Sonoran Sky. We were blown away by the resort as well as the condo itself. Super clean, top of the line appliances/furnishings, amazing patio views, and top notch service from the resort staff. STAY HERE!
