Check in was amazing with brandon. Monte at customer service is a heaven send. Amongst all the other waiters bartenders room service was all amazing. The roof could use a replacement but overall the people made it epic

The resort has everything. Delicious dining options. Beach access with lounge chairs, and umbrellas. A very relaxing spa if you decide to use their services. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience while at the resort. This resort checks all the boxes. It will not disappoint.

I hotel overall was okay/average. I feel like they were understaffed. There is only one bar at night and there was usually a line to get a drink. For food, it also took some time to get a waiter or waitress to come and take out order for drinks. The pool could have been cleaner. Some algae noted and missing tiles.

This is a great resort with the highlight being the friendly and helpful staff. There are delicious food options and the pool and private beach were enjoyable. I would highly recommend it.

It was a nice hotel. All the staff are friendly but they just need to improve in learning English. Sometimes it hard to communicate when they don’t understand you. But overall it was a good vacation. We had a great time except the insect in our room . But it’s all good. Food is good, they need to extend the hours in the pool. Thank you.

The resort, the people…..INCREDIBLE!!The rooms,the resort grounds,the pool,the beach everything was so clean….EVERYWHERE!! People were working all the time to ensure it was a state of perfection at all times!Angel & bell staff, Javier, Alberto, Ian, Luisa, (front Desk/guest services) Brenda & Francisco-buffet,outstanding & always attentive to ensure our needs were always met! Rodriguiz assisted us when we rented our cabana (900peso)brought us endless drinks and a cerviche that was absolutely delicious!! We had dinner (twice) at a new addition called Tauro, Moises assisted to provide us with the best experience both times!!The food…..OMG….top notch!!So delicious, fresh squeezed juice every time,not just your standard OJ OR APPLE, it was celery, pineapple & orange combinations!!The events, Roberto and Cassandra never disappointed with providing activities during the day such as archery, rifle shooting, evening events such as a magic show, illuminated circus,& pirate show. kids had private seating in front!! Gift shop had everything and more! Housekeeping was amazing, replenish our bottled water, Beer, pop, NESRESSO coffee,snacks & paper/fresh towels, The beach had people selling everything to swim wraps, Pelican makes the BEST personalized bracelets, Ernesto and George have beautiful silver, The gentleman selling Mango and Tajin spice… crazy good!! It’s hard to put into words how enjoyable our time was, check out was the worst!!! Go enjoy, say hi from us & c u soon!!

The Meliá was beautiful! The grounds were the best I’ve seen, with many ponds and water features, so stunning! The staff was friendly and helpful! The spa was wonderful! The food was really good! I’ve seen better beaches, the river was washing in some murky water so it wasn’t clear all day, and the seating by the beach was very hot! Maybe some trees? It wasn’t very stroller friendly, we had to carry it up and down stairs alot. Overall, would stay again!

Very disappointed with the food. ATM was broken the entire time which really made the trip difficult. The water at the beach was extremely muddy and not at all what was described. It is close to the Marina, which was nice. I won't be staying there again.

cannot say enough wonderful things about the hotel and staff! This was a medical trip with my son who has special needs. Not only did they plan accordingly as we had previously discussed, they all went above and beyond to accommodate anything we needed throughout the trip!! Every single employee exceeded my expectations in every possible way! And Guest Services—-WOW!——if only every hotel had such an amazing team! Just to name a few that really stood out with their attentiveness, timeliness to needs, compassion, and kindness—Hector, Alberto, Javier, Silvia—I was beyond impressed with the way they managed every aspect of our needs! To be honest, I’ve never seen such professionalism combined with such big hearts! They became like family and we will miss them dearly! Karen was one of the servers that really stood out to give us such a kind, attentive, wonderful service at every meal, remembering every detail including making sure nothing had gluten in it or cross contaminated as I have celiac disease. She also remembered my son’s exact order every single time! Miss Elena in housekeeping went above and beyond to make sure everything was cleaned to perfection! In fact she really went above and beyond making it squeaky clean even after Gibson was very sick from his medical treatments! We will continue to stay at Meliá anytime we visit Puerto Vallarta from here on out! I cannot recommend it enough!!

We traveled with our children, ages 7 and 9. The food at the buffet was very good and the Fish House was wonderful. We did not enjoy Mole and Tacos but perhaps we just ordered poorly. The guest services team was truly amazing. Alberto was so kind to us and took really great care of us. Our children said they would like to return to the resort in the future just to see Alberto! The pool area is huge and has great access points for small children. The swim up bar was very crowded, especially with kids just hanging around which we found irksome. We usually hopped out of the pool and ordered on the walk up side. Liquor was bottom shelf so we didn’t drink very much. The resort was packed with families, however, there wasn’t a ton of stuff for kids to do. Our kids were a bit bored at the pool. A slide or water features for kids would benefit families. Our room was a bit worn, however, when we expressed that to guest services, they made arrangements for us to move to another room. We really appreciated that gesture and it definitely turned our experience from “average” to “good.” The staff at Melia do their very best with what they have to make your vacation a nice experience.

Very clean, lots of staff working hard and very friendly. Taxis easy to access. Buffyet food very good, nice variety. Definitely could use more al la carte restaurants as there are only 2 but both were good! Not a ton of activities but maybe they were just things we werent really interested in. Shows and kids nights were good. Hotel is old but well maintained for the most part. Had a fantastic time with our 2 young kids

This property is not new, but people working there are taking a good care of it. It’s so beautiful outside. I loved how convenient it’s is to walk to either to the buffet, pool, kids room, or the beach. Everything is super nice. Most people hang out by the pool so the beach area is not crowded at all. You can also have lots of activities on the beach with kids. Very nice spa. Shows every night, kind staff, different menu at the buffet every day, lobby smells amazing, taxi is one minute away always. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Melia!
