The property was absolutely beautiful however, the rooms are outdated and not really all that nice. The staff by far were amazing 11 out of 10. The food in the buffet area was really good but not the restaurants. The food lacked flavor and or atmosphere. The all inclusive drinks are cheap and if you want some mixed drinks staff really don’t know how to make drinks. Out of 10 drinks ordered one was actually good.

I liked the property overall. The staff was on their phones a lot. Food at snack shack was cold. Spa didn’t have lockers that locked. I liked my visit, but felt really pressured to buy excursions, etc when near the beach. Food was pretty good. Mediterranean restaurant was not good. Took 45 minutes to get a drink and they didn’t check to see if we liked our meal. Hibachi, steak and Italian restaurant were great. Buffets were good. Lots of choices. Kids loved ice cream. Definitely liked staying Level. Hotel did not allow us to take towels on our excursion. Very bad experience there. We were the only people on our excursion without towels and had to drip dry. Not good when spending a ton of money. Also, hotel had no change so we could tip their staff. Key cards never worked. Not sure I’ll return to this resort.

Beautiful property. Beautiful beach. Constant hard upsell from the concierge. Tried to get us to waste one of our 3 days going to an un-announced timeshare sales type presentation . Our room was nice but poorly maintained, broken fixtures, clogged shower, etc. the food was mediocre and not always available.

Overall the property is beautifully. The staff for entertainment was Amazing! The staff at the bars were Great as well! The food was not that great but it was ok. The check in was kind of time consuming and confusing when coming from Expedia… we were sent to a different desk and with this the check in was not with warming welcome! Other places offer drinks or water at least or even a snack. The Merkado is horrible, nobody welcomes you for a drink, dirty tables all the time! And we had to wait for a clean table like 10min so then decided to leave and not eat. The room service took forever more than 1hr and 30min I requested a Razr kit and a dental kit and never got it delivered. The room looks like it needs renovations because it looks old. If I stay at Melia again is to see staff like Doris, Ronar, Juan del Rosario at the pool bar. Juan and Felicia at entertainment and Luis and the rest of the staff at Olives Bar. I will definitely not stay again if it was not for the staff.

We stayed Level in a 2 bedroom suite. The room was AMAZING! Private concierge was great, very helpful. The Level, gave many benefits which we enjoyed. Those being a private pool area for Level, restaurant and lounge, top shelf liquor. What we feel could be improved upon: while we were there. There was a chef change in Level area. We didn't care for the changes made mid week. For example, by the Level pool went went from being offered delicious quesadillas to things like salmon salad and we were told quesadillas were no longer available. This was one of the very few things my kids would eat! The food was a struggle with my family who are picky eaters. To order something plain, was so hard & the language barrier made it harder. They would say they understood English and your food wouldn't come out right. It was the most disappointing part of the trip, the food was an issue. We ate in several places too. Sit down and buffet. Best and most delicious was the filet at the Riviera. This was what we ended up with almost every day. There isn't much for older teens, they got bored, and could only stay in the sun for so long. I think staying for less than a week you'd be ok doing all you want to do. We stayed a full week. Oddly enough 2 of us ended up with bug bites, too many to count, the other 3 didn't. The bug bites are awful. The grounds are absolutely stunning, wildlife on the grounds amazing, scenery was paradise. Lots of seaweed at beach & in water. Overall stay was o

Such a great experience. So much to do without having to leave the resort at all! Kids activities, water slides and live entertainment and shows at night. The staff were amazing, not a single complaint.

The food at the restaurants that need reservations like the mexican was not good at all. we ended up sticking with buffet. if your room is not closed to thr beach it is not convenient because it is a good walk. we paid extra for the VIP section but dont think it was worth it because the beach had the same options than the non vip section, the restaurant the riviera had same food as the buffet except if you wanted something from their menu that again the food was not good. it was ok place i wouldn’t consider this a luxury hotel. They didn’t have a decent tennis raquets to borrow they were broken or missing a piece. the tennis courts were not on good condition.

It’s a very beautiful and very well maintained resort.They have an amazing entertainment group that will really make your stay so much fun and have so many activities like dancing lessons, beach volley or karaoke nights. Also the people by the pool bar were great and fun! The only issue for us was making reservations at the restaurants. It was such a hustle and had to talk to so many people! We were there for 2 birthday celebrations and took multiple days and hours during our stay to reserve a table!

Great resort all around. Would definitely recommend to families with children. The water park and pool were the best part. Food was great, many different options for breakfast lunch and dinner. Small things that could’ve been fixed like our phone not working in the room, but you get your own concierge who communicates to you through what’s app. Perla was great. She answered everything for us in a timely manner and booked our taxi back to the airport when we asked. Overall my family enjoyed every minute. A very beautiful property with plenty of activities for adults and kids throughout the day.

This was our second time. Last visit was 19 years ago. Seemed more crowded and less well-kept. There were also tons of people peddling services and goods on the beach. They would approach you while you would try to relax. They were not too pushy, but at times we would be asked once every five to six minutes.

The food wasn’t great, was served raw chicken and steak at one dinner. The room has tons of bugs. There aren’t enough golf carts to shuttle people around and the property is massive. Had to wait hours for towels at the pool…
